Website banner advertising?

Hi guys,

I've had a auto-related company in Sydney contact me about advertising on my website, and they would like to know about costing.....and i have NO idea!

How do you usually charge for banner advertising on a website? Monthly? Dependant on how large or often the ad appears? And how much can I ask realisitically?

If you have any info it would be appreciated ASAP as hes waiting for an answer.

PPC is terrible for JW, we get less than $100 a month on average, where as IMO (for JW anyway) sponsorship is the way to go, where we were once offered $500 a month just for putting a banner up, sadly it would have been a little too large for the site though and made it look a mess, I guess it was a case of putting the members interests ahead of financial interests.
