Double Accents...

Suddenly my keyboard cannot type an accent above a letter. Always when i try, something like this: ~~ comes out...

Any ideas on how to fix this

It does not happen only on IE...that's the thing...

About the mac...i'm off to college in the US in a few months, if everything goes right.... then no more PC for me...

Hm.. are the accent symbols somethign that you had to program in the Character map?

Maybe one of your shift/alt/ctrl keys are stuck?

No, they are standard keys on the Brazilian keyboard. This looks like it might be a) a virus or b) driver problems...

The double accenting happens everywhere...word, ie, msn...

Maybe bad keyboard? Try a USB keyboard or something external if your on a laptop. If that doesnt solve than a virus or bad driver and I would just reformat even though you said you dont want to reformat.
