Spied! 2010 Lotus Esprit
Our new friends over at AutoGespot have captured what is probably the best look yet at the next Lotus Esprit. The range-topping supercar has seen its development hampered by fits and starts, but it appears the car is on-track for a 2010 debut despite the setbacks.

We don’t have many firm details on the coming Esprit yet, but sources peg the engine as a BMW-sourced V-8 displacing in the range of 4.4-to-4.8 liters. The car is expected to spawn an open-top variant at some point, but we’re only expecting the fixed-head coupe at launch.

Figure on around $125,000 for the privilege.

Looks like dutch garage license plates. And what I don't understand is why the mechanic who you can see under the car doesn't bother about pics being taken. He will notice that somebody takes pics, they even used the flashlight. I am not so sure about this....

Well the guy who's taking the photos is probably allowed to be there. Pics seem like they are from inside the garage and pretty close to the car.

I'm guessing its one of the mechanics and his camera phone sneaking a pic to leak it on to the net ;)

The car also reminds me of a 355 but also loooks a little like a baby veyron from the rear.

they are dutch license plates, and it's testing at Koni... i thought i recognised that factory already, and when i looked closer at dani's pics it shows the name on 1 of hte buildings :D

It will get the same engine as Wiesmann, V8 from the bigger cars.

Looks nice at the spyshots..
