holy crap that's a lot of rotary power! didn't know there was already that much tuning going on with Rx8s, but i guess i only follow supercar magazines closely.

anybody know the performance figures for this car?

th 20B is a three rotor motor that was available in the Cosmos sedan car in the earlier 90s...abel ibarra has a rx7, now rx8 import drag car, but the rx-7 ran a 1400 hp 20B and was good for 200+ mph in the quarter :D the 20Bs however were known to be quite cantankerous to tune, but once sorted were good engines

oh yeah, and now someone needs to put a R26B (4 rotor motor used in the le mans winning 787B mazda racecar) in a rx 7 or 9 :D

Nice looking car - I too figure that all that power would need the higher revs to make all that power really useful.

tons of money............... straight line car (imagine if the boost came in in the middle of a corner.....u traction will be almost zero, so doesn't matter how good the suspension setup, it's still not a handling car)

the car is runnin 850whp at 8600rpm@24psi boost which they say is 950hp at the crank and it has an upped red line of 11000

Frankly I don't trust the tuner. They have provided nothing to corroborate their claims, despite peoples' requests on the rx8 forum.

Its a three rotor. The hp curve is alot better than that.
