Is it just me or is this song going to be THE summer hit of 2007? :D I just love this song!

And yes it is a ripoff of The Penguins' version in 1954. (this is the only audio/video I could find of it: YouTube >> the footage has nothing to do with the song)

I think the old version is awesome as well, but watching the current trends of the music, the new version will probably be a bit more popular nowadays ;)

Yeah good song indeed but I prefer the original which also featured in Back To the Future on that Enchancement Under the Sea Prom or something..

^ I know, but it's not the original version, that's what I'm saying :) The song by Mr. Z is also exactly the same, except there's some Jamaican dude screaming things in between ;) And btw, The Starlighters performed a more ballad-ish version than The Penguins did, they were more in The Temptations style, called doo-wop

I hate these beats and vocals, but the trouble is you hear them everywhere. If I hear too much of this crap I get a really really bad mood.
