this guy I know tried to buy some green rubber lizard at the dollar store once...he came up the counter with a buck...but the cashier told him its 1.15 (taxes), he raised a huge scene in the store, lasted about 10 min...busy time too, about how it was false advertisement, seeing as how its a dollar store, yelling how he was getting ripped off for a green lizard...

^^ hey!! don't laugh. During my first visit to the USA, when I was 8 years old, my dad gave me a dollar (cheapstake :P ). So with my huge amount of money I chose something from the Dollar store. Of course the guy told me that I had to pay taxes. Because my english sucked big time, I didn't understand, so the cashier told me: 1 dollar with fifteen cents!

to end my sad sad story, I only dropped the article back into its place and went with my dad
