Well had a break in the "winter" weather here and what better way to enjoy it than taking the car out for a drive and photo session. Here are a few snaps from today taken at the old USAF base in Bitburg, GE. The buildings set as the back drop are HAS's or better known as hardened aircraft shelters used to protect F-105, F-4, F-15's from the cold war era.

Enjoy! :!

I love them :)

Do you have #2 with a different aspect ratio? I mean, more like 4:3 instead of panorama?

Thanks for info!

I believe theres another abandoned airport in Germany close to the Dutch border. But that one was used by NATO.

Thanks for showing the pre crop. What about entering it in the next POTM contest? Or do you prefer another one (considering portrait pics aren't allowed). In this case, send over a 1024 px version ;)

I'll submit the hi-res tomorrow, I'm on a different PC now...that one probably is my fav as well as the car really "pops" out and really shows the true colors of my car.

That would be Niederrhein, used by the RAF.

Yep thats the one!

I got confused with the one pretty close to Limburg, that one is used by Nato but is still in use.
