Well just read what the rated voltage levels are, AMP ratings and what not just to make sure they arent gonna over power you device. If everything looks good then I'd go for it. Also a link to the battery?

I though I should start preparing for the JW meet in May and I have to therefore buy a new battery for my Sony video camera. Do you have experiences of non-original batteris and Sony Info-lithium? NP-FM70 costs approx. 150€, but a compatible battery costs just 50€. I'm very tempted to buy the compatible battery, but will it work?

I use all aftermarket or eBay special purchases on my Sony camcorders... never a problem.

Same here - I had one for my old digicam. No issues. In fact I believe I got a better battery life for some reason with the non original battery.

Probably bigger capacity? Thats a pretty good deal man!
