...and let me tell you what a fantastic bit of fun - the tyres are hard and cold, the road surface at freezing - no moisture in sight yesterday or this morning... so it was Traction Control OFF and right foot ON.. ;)

The cold air really wakes up the motor - must have helped the 485bhp to well over 500 - the lack of traction made for a fun time

But this evening it has been drizzling so the layer of ice outside means the fun is over - till next time.

Bah, you guys are lucky! It's 5 degrees F outside right now where I'm at. Although we are expected to have a bit of a heat wave move in later this week. We'll be seeing mid-to-high 30's!

-20F with the windchill today. Even with my gloves, my hands hurt after chiseling my way into my car.

After hearing what you guys just said, I almost feel bad saying that the coldest its been this winter is about 40-50F :? or maybe a little colder. On the plus side though, its only been like that for a week and its starting to get warmer.

In Brighton, England, it's 11C atthe moment. But about as grey and miserable as you can imagine.

It was fun driving in the S4! Fortunately, I was driving in the city streets and not the highway filled with the boneheads. No traction issues to report! ;)

Its been cold here too, and a friend who was visiting had a flight out of Dallas cancelled twice because of icing there. :x Other than that, it does seem to make the engine on my car a bit crisper, but that doesn't count for much on my car... :P

I was applying full throttle from a standstill a couple times - no issues and not a peep from the traction control :)

do what my step dad does: run a small space heater out to your car and leave it on the center console overnight. That way the inside stays nice and toasty and the heat radiates through the body and keeps everything clear :D

Rumor had it that we were supposed to finally see some rain yesterday to wipe out the remaining snow and ice after getting another inch of snow the night before, but it never came and instead some areas just saw more snow  they've been calling for high 30s the last couple days but i dunno where it's been :bah:

This thread was not to try say who or what or where is colder... it was simply to state that in dry 0*C weather and turning off Traction Control and with cold-air aided 500bhp+ in a light rear wheel drive car is fun.

The rub is that in a few days we will be back at warm toasty temps and clear skies and then be able to enjoy RWD fun in the sun.. ;)

Same here.. even in the rain..

although I barely have 100hp in my RAV4.

RC, would you ever dare to take the Z06 out in the snow? With rear tires as wide as the vette's it might just be suicide.

^^ Which is why the key points were 32*F and no moisture ;)

It looks like it is going to be really cold tomorrow as well and wet all week. Crap - I just washed and waxed my 348 - dont want to dirty her up on the first drive. :)

Still, I feel like I would have temptation to see how it would handle some snow.. as long as there was are no hills around.

Finally got some snow here, but I don't think theres enough for me to have some fun in my car.

I really need to find a RWD beater I can afford :)

It's been cold in my garage as well. So I have employed a NASA certified high tech solution to keep my baby warm at night ....

Nice - would you be offended if I bought a wore out 348 and stuffed the Z06 motor in the back? ;)

Its light, narrow, short and all the power for fun in the sun ;)
