Some of you might have noticed a lack of posting from me and no updates to the my website.....well you can blame my 56K connection currently for that. :(
Anyone else suffering this fate? It is unbearable@!!!!
I was on ADSL (1.5M) but changed providers who are now taking forever to do the work necassary to switch me over to my new 12M connection.....
Can't wait.... :D

2Mbit download, 256kbits upload for now but only for a short period of time, my ISP will do the first decent thing in history and up me to 6Mbits free of charge in a few days.

Damn, the internet in China is far worse than 56k. This is like 2k. The bloody earthquake has destroyed many undersea cables, and a lot of communication is now done via satellite. Telecommunications will not be fully restored until around January 30, so I've read. Fortunately, I'll be out of here by then and back to normalcy with ADSL internet at home. :)

I have a 10/1Mbit but will propably upgrade to 20/3. I use torrentsites with ratio so a faster upload speed would be nice.

So - you willing to give up open wheelers for a fast connection/ :P ;) hehe

I'm quite a n00b at these things, so I was wondering if this speed was affected by the wireless connection my pc is on.

You would need closer to 4Mbps to download a 4.5Gb file in that amount of time... ;)
