Here's a screenshot of a Ferrari 308QV that I modelled for the game RACER: Free Car Simulator (http://www.racer.nl).
The model has about 8100 polies for the body alone (including interior). The wheels are about 940 polies apiece. I felt it was important to make it as detailed as I could.
I figured it should go in Car Gallery since it's a car, and it's a nice looking shot :D

i modelled that one in Zmodeler, a free modelling program.
that's a shot using Racer's game engine, which is really well done.
i've since moved on to Alias Maya, so hopefully i'll have some nice renders to share with you guys eventually. :D
i've also modelled an Enzo for that game, it's not as good of a model since it was my first (i'm gonna totally redo it eventually), but i'll see if i can get a shot of that up.

Great work. Modeling is part of what I do for a living, so I love to see others work, especially well done pieces like yours.

never used 3DSMax. that model as i said above was done in Zmodeler (free).
i've moved on to Maya, though.
@Erez_Avital: sorry to hear you don't like the handling/game physics, as the handling was made based on lots of real-life values and tuned to handle how stock 308s handled based on owner comments (the crappy stock tires, Michelin TRX, tended to understeer beyond belief, that's why most 308s don't have stock tires anymore), and the game is still only at version .5, so it's still beta, but the physics engine is being made for the utmost realism in mind.
that's cool if you don't lik eit of course, we're all into different stuff
thanks for all the compliments. i'll post a shot of the interior soon.

308, ahh if I had to pick the most tasteful product of the 1970's this would be it. Good job

indeed it's a beautiful car. this one's an 80s model (Quattrovalvole)
@PaulGT2164: the track is Torr's Physics test track. you can probly still find it on racesimcentral's Racer forums.
@zevolv: what controller input are you playing the game with? i admit that the best way to appreciate the game is with a wheel/pedals setup, but if you're on keyboard/mouse, some say it can be pretty smoothly controlled. you can change parameters of your controller by opening the Data\Ctrlsets\ directory in the Racer folder and changing values in the ini you're using.
for more help go on racesimcentral.com/ and go into the Racer forum. lots of friendly help on there :)
racer_f50... the games physics aren't right.. and it doesn't run smoothly..
but i'm 100% sure that a smooth version will apper! :D

Damn...I have a GeForce 2MX and when playing on the camera view behnd the car I get around 4 fps at 640x380 and 16 bit textures :(
the makers just have something missing... all the car models are EXCELLENT!!
so (and i have been watching this game for a Loooong time!) i'm sure it will be runing as it should be... and thats gonna be a great day!

heres a shot of the interior. since it's for a game i just put in the most important details, so little things like the 308 lettering on glove box and the defroster vents on the passenger side of the dash are missing, but more of it's there for enjoyment 8)

i hope you enjoy 3D modelling, its quite fun :)
the loops and jumps are just for fun, to test physics in the game and stuff. doing the loop is pretty intense :)
