I'm not too familiar around the American section on JW, so I hope this is not a Stan. And if it is, it's a good one...

Yep - 3100lbs, 500hp, rigid chassis, perfect 50%-50% weight distribution, rear wheel drive, front-mid engine layout and a real 6 speed manual transmission.... exactly what about that car is "amerikun straight line land boat".. ??

Nothing... ;)

yeah, heavy weight straight line only car, eh? Last time I checked, Vipers are damn fast around a track too; with wily oversteer handling.

The longer you people think this way, the more I'll ingrain it in every thread about M3's, Zonda's, Ferraris, etc. etc. etc.

the ignorance is just simply appalling

The Viper maybe rough on edges, but w/ the right driver, it's one damn quick car. If you want a landboat however, get a buick. you will not be disappointed

Oh, I guess your right, that old viper is slow around a track too, and is only good for straight lines  Find me an M3 that handles better then the old Viper GTS... sure, a porsche will... and a ZR1 is near equal, as is Ferrari.

It's black alright... but I bet the Veyron guys will tell us that the Big Fat Bug can do that backwards at 500rpm with the driver drinking lattes and reading the Financial Times it's such a great car .. ;)

And I guess I'm one of those 7 EU-based US car fans. But no more than I'm a European or Asian car fan. It doesn't matter where it comes from, as long as it's a great car.

The Veyron cant do that, as it got so much grip that it wouldnt loose traction at that puny speed.... :P

When a car wieghs 6 tons, it tends to be pressed to the road pretty well :P

it would have audi understeer, but the on board computers won't allow for it, so it will feel like somebody else is driving, and applying brakes/torque to indivudual wheels ;)
