Hammond's first TV interview
Richard Hammond will be back on the telly tonight to talk about his jet car crash - and his amazing recovery.

He'll tell Jonathan Ross how memory loss meant the two weeks immediately after the accident were a complete blank.

Despite fears that he was facing a 15-month recovery in hospital, he says he's "completely fixed" and looking forward to Top Gear returning next month.

"They'll just be trusting me with sofas to test," he joked. "Jeremy has been gushingly kind to me; it would embarrass him to read about it. Next series we're doing a polar race - I'm really looking forward to it."

Hmmmm, a polar race? I suspect Jeremy will be driving some sort of 4x4......like a Bugatti Veyron?

I thought it was a race across the US in the XKR? Or something like that. . .

I hope he takes the Veyron again though i doubt it  But apparently as James May said on the TG homepage there will be a "Veyron performance feature" in the next series  Canīt wait for that!

Hopefully that means they will have it at the track  . But I doubt that they will race the Veyron against something in a polar type race, it will probobly be a Range Rover or something like that.

I think you mean Zonda F, as the S was tested a long time ago when they were using the "stratigically placed puddles"

Across asia in a rickshaw that would be a change, just kidding. Well every race the power increased don't know how the Veyron will be topped.

I wouldnt have a hard time believing that the next epic race is gonna be a sort of polar race. There was a few months back, or it seems that long, that there was an article w/ Clarkson on these things he was driving in some polar area; about how it was never really about the car, or what you do when you get there, but about the journey.
