Here is a bunch of photos that have been in my camera for a little while mostly from the saturday morning show. As usual, this car show doesnt always provide the best atmosphere for picture taking, at least to someone as impatient as me, but I will always share what I take!

Thanks for some photos of the Avtech AWX-3 ! Was Jerry driving? curious how no one has ever seen one of his cars broken down (like the white one then owned by a japanese 'investor' before Michael.... long story I cannot tell )

The 7.0 liter DOHC engine with the twin plenum design is good for 850 - 900hp on low boost conditions ;)

The Cizeta is nuts... I'd love to see one in person, and for some reason... the 288 GTO just seems underwhelming... i dono...

Its transverse mounted, but not tilted over AFAIK. Simply two 308, maybe 328, V8s welded together. I believe that this is the only working model as well.

@ Nth - not sure who was driving the Vector but that was honestly the last thing we expected to see on the freeway at 6:30am Sat morning. I have seen it once before at this show too. Sadly I didnt have the camera ready as we were leaving and he was just coming in with a darker colored one following him.

The V16 was a purpose cast work of art - Tifosi could only dream of 200 308 V8's welded togtehr sounding that good.. let alone only 2.. ;)

The unique cylinder block was made on special Swiss tooling, and is a single aluminium alloy casting with twin steel crankshafts running through its centre. These cranks are made by the French race and prototype engine company Mobilor, and have huge gears that feed power to the longitudinally mounted ZF gearbox. It is this configuration that gives the car its V16 T designation. A pair of pumps send and return the cooling fluid, and there are two big radiators as well. The engine is mounted transersely in the chassis a la Miura, and is also inclined 10 degrees forward to help keep the centre of gravity low and help it mate to the transaxle.

European tuners always do some engine improvements to get more power, but only in extreme cars they use turbos or supercharger. It's rare to see a car like that in here. It seems you don't mind using a big turbo in a Ferrari or an Honda to get power.

A supercharger is nearly the same throttle responce as a n/a car.

and yes, we are more willing to spend less to get more results ;)

If everyone did the same crap, what would be the point? Most of the other Cayman tuners I have seen up to this point have only swapped the engine for a bigger one and I am sure the owner of this car didnt want to spend that kind of money. As far as putting a turbo on a Ferrari, there are a lot of Euro tuners that have been doing that for a long while (including Ferrari themselves :wink: )

Unfortunately no. I have seen the car numerous times down there before though, so I should see it again and ill try and remember to take a pic when I do. Its actually a really nice one too. All black with black wheels and supercharged (hehe what else would you expect from an American :wink: :lol: )
