Hi there,
I have been surfing Jabbas World for a while and I find it to be a great place where people can talk about almost anything, and I decided to introduce myself today and I thought that the general forum would be the best place to do this. I am the owner of a stock 2003 996 Porsche Turbo (basalt black) and a 2002 Land Rover, and I hope to contribute my knowledge about my cars and other points of interest for me so that Jabbas World can be even better than it is (If that is at all possible, lol). I hope to learn more about you guys in the neer future.
Cheers

I am guessing you surf supercars.net, but yes, I am 16, however I do not like to show off that fact. I hope I am accepted because I am a fellow car enthusiast, and not rejected because of my age. (The car was baught by my father, and because he takes to train to work every day, and because he is on business trips very often, he gives me full privliges in driving the car).

So, basically they are your parents cars, you just get to drive them around. Thats cool, just be happy you get such a luxury. Not everyone gets to roll around in such nice cars!

Welcome Porsche996Turbo,
you can count yourself very privileged and lucky than
The only thing is that I always start to wonder what one will drive in let us say 15 years time when I read explanations like this
Welcome aboard! You car is of course great and the pics very professional, congrats! But at 16 it sounds strange anyway to already own two cars...

I have to admit that I'm lucky that I did not get to drive a car like that
when I turned 16....
'cause if I were to play around in a car like that - I would have killed my self!!!
- I did not have the self-control to moderate my speed at that age. I still have problems....
Im driving a Damn Honda Accord Sedan V-6 aint this a bitch.

Welcome, I also drove my parents cars for a while. Its quite a luxury, so be thankful. However, I drove a 30,000 dollar car - not a 996.
HOW FAST HAVE YOU GONE IN THE 996? ( just had to ask)
Dont encourage him Zonda, we dont want his dad trying to sue jabba for his 996, because we encouraged his son to get a top speed.

Thanks, I actually dont own them (well the Land Rover is my car 100%), my dad just lets me drive the turbo because he never does. He also gives me modding privliges and what not. Thanks about the pictures, I just got a canon s400 and I love it.

Not yet, but once I turn 18, I will join PCA and they have many track meets that can teach you alot about porsche (it sux that the min age is 18).

I usually dont drive fast, and 99% of the time I am under 100 mph. One day, I just wanted to see what it can do, I went 135 on the on-ramp, but slowed down once I got to the freeway. (I have V1 and K40 laser jammer, so I am protected from a lot).

Trust the V1, don't trust the K40. They simply don't work. Can't react fast enough to the LIDAR signals--basically once it picks up the signal, you've already been painted. Keep your eyes peeled always.

The K40 is a laser jammer, not a laser detector, it is constantly emmiting light that confuses the laser gun.

Why is it strange to own two cars at the age of sixteen I had two until a Dodge Ram rear ended my SVT Focus and thats where I got the money for my Evo 8

Its strange because most teens cant afford 1 shitty car let alone 2 amazing ones. But it seems owning multiple cars runs in ur family :D Just 1 Q: how do u afford an Evo 8 at 18?
zevolv
01-08-2004, 11:44 PM
i can afford an Evo 8 at 18 because first the insurance check from the focus covered some of it and the rest is payed for by my parents
