I found a site that shows some spy photos of the new 911. It looks to me like they are increasing the length of the front of the car. I just barely started to get use to the 996 compared to the 993. Here we go again.

I agree. Sometimes I think they take "form follows function" motto too far. While I am a huge Porsche fan, I think generally Ferrari does a better job of blending aesthetics and function to create beautiful works of art.

mmm i think that whole grill bit might just be camo...after all if u look closely there are turn signals under there...wouldnt be too helpful when viewed at an angle if theres a grill in the way.

I can see where they are coming from, I guess the designer is trying to capture the essence of the 933 front with out spoiling the smooth curve of the 996 tail

What do you think about this future 911 St Anger ??

To me it looks like they're going backwards in time with their design. The Boxster style headlights have been repalced with round ones and the roofline and the 'hips' remind me of older 911s.

hehe, they're in design bouncing from future to the past and vice versa... that's what most of the motor companies do, unless we're talking about renault or smth :)

I think that Porsche are taking a huge step in the right direction.
- the 993 was the pinnacle of automotive design, and the 997 are
made with that design in mind

IMHO, the Enzo Ferrari is the ultimate example where they took the form follows function too far, but good thing that not everybody likes the same cars. :)

Yeah, that's what I thought and I think I like it.

I also think that 993 was the best styled.
So I love new looks.

I don't see what's the difference. . . except for the headlights of course.

Yeah- the huge front grill will take some getting used to. Hopefully they tone it down a bit for the production model :)
