Thanks Corvette! I weighed up my options of spending $10K+ for looks (kit, mags, etc. etc.) or spend the same money on performance and the performance option won! :D I'll be starting on the mods pretty soon and just see where it all takes me.

The Supra is an Auto, but if you know anything about the Auto Supras than you'll also know that the auto is a very potent option with many Auto Supras outrunning manual Supras ;) down the 1/4 mile... and my wife can drive it too :D

The car next to the Supra is my old 1990 5.0 V8 VN Holden Commodore (Dynoed at 135RWKM :) ), it has a kit, mags, twin exhaust, cold air and is lowered with much stiffer suspension. Some of you might know it as something similar to an Opel Omega I think. While the Americans out there will probably know of the 3.8 V6 Buick motors that this model also came with ;)

you welcome bro!, hey do you have any idea why, when the supra is on a drag strip many of the owners take of the right headlight???

hey put turbos, blow off valves, filters, suspension, nos, any shit that can make this car faster its just amazing bro! congrats!

They remove the right headlight because usually the air intake is just behind it (i.e. pod filter) so that they get a bit of a cold air ram effect.

The car is a Jap Spec twin turbo and already has so go fast bits (K&N Pod filter, Blitz BOV, APEXi 4" GT-Spec Exhaust) so for now I'm just doing more research and getting rid of some of the limitations (i.e. speed cut and boost cut) With these removed I'll be able to dial in some more boost and play around with the car for a while before I go serious and do a big single turbo (GReddy T88H-34D) conversion, brakes (4pot front, 2 rear), suspension (Tein Flex), cams (272 in/ex), fuel system (850cc injectors, dual fuel pumps, surge tank, moded fuel rail) etc. etc.

Lot's to do, lot's to spend, lot's to enjoy....

It is nice to see someone who is not just talking out of their arse with respect to the Supra.

Just because I am sad, and enjoy this kind of thing, I am going to go away and find what I would do to your car

LOL, thanks, I'll take that as a compliment :D :D :D

It is my beliefe that talking out ones arse should be reserved for ricers and ricers alone :D

It was intended as a compliment, the amount of times I have heard people talk about their Supra pushing 800bhp, yet they have not modified the fuel system is beyond belief.

hehe, I know what you mean, but that doesn't only apply to Supras :D

BTW, how is your research going for modding my Supra ;) ? You can mod it any way you like, other than rice mods, as long as you pay for it all though

No, I am most certainly not going rice!

I am working on it.

This is my First Stage: www.suprastore.com can supply all this for around $9,000
Turbo Kit: GReddy T78 with the usual down pipe, turbo header, wastegate, and air intake system.
http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=tbn:M9_b5oIighAC:www.forcedperformance.ne t/images/products/t78.jpg

Fuel System: 720cc injectors, twin pump setup, all the wiring, relays, braided large line, fuel filtration, fittings, etc. This should be good for 750bhp at the fly.

Electronics: AEM EMS

The AEM EMS replaces the VPC/GCC alphabet soup piggy-back electronics set-up and is inclusive of a new 3bar map sensor and IAT.

Ignition: HKS Twin Power Ignition

This is pretty much what I would do, however you seem to have bigger plans! :P

The only reason I would go for the T78 over the T88 is turbo lag, pure and simple. Although the T88 will hit the 800bhp mark (on race fuel I believe)
The T88:

http://www.wotm.com/greddyt88.jpg
Although the quotes for bhp on road fuel are all 92 Octane and one can get 100 Octane here in the UK, so bhp should be up.

Some form of strut bar would be useful, probably Sparco
Stage 2: (Transmition)

Well, simply a rebuild designed with 750bhp+ in mind.

Stage3:

With all that power one needs to STOP quickly, so:

AP Racing 6 pots on the front

or a set of these:

for the suspension, I would fit HKS Hiper drag coilover shocks

[/img]

Stage 4:

A Blitz Supra TT 93-98 Intercooler - VSpec
http://store5.yimg.com/I/supra_1769_13802540

A Blitz DSBC Type R Boost cont.

set of Fikse FM10

There we go, pretty much it!

instead of going single turbo you might wanna consider using twin HKS GT2338 Turbos, with the supporting upgrades, you can easily see 900+ hp running twin 2338s. to be honest if i had a supra and were on a limited budget i would do the simple stuff first (boost onctroller, fuel cut defender, AFC, Downpipes, intake, and exhaust) just the downpipes alone can get you 25+hp....my next stages of upgrades would be a set of Unorthodox racing pulleys, aem cam gears, HKS 274 duration camshafts. that way yiou would spend about 2000 bucks for the two stages i have mentioned. the next upgrade would be a set or arias low compression pistons, crower froged rods, and total seal rings, arp head studs and main bolts. this way you can up the boost safely and have a bullet proof bottom end. the block of the 2JZ can handle over 1000 hp so bvlock re-enforcement i dont see necessary. the final stage upgrades i would perform would be a HKS turbo upgrade kit, twin GT23382, and 720CC injectors, with a add-on inline fuel pump. this setup with about 23 psi of boost should net some serious serious power, and you would be able to run alot more boost on track or with race gas. we use a micture of Tolulene and 93 octane to get 110 octane race gas for our cars, and with the same gas, you would be able to push 27 or so pis and net over 800hp easily with proper tune, and never never never modify anything on the car till you have aboost guage and a A/F ration guage, if you do, its your repair bill....

Is a 1000bhp Supra useable??

I am not having a go at you, I am just curious, I have never, and am unlikely to drive a car of such a large bhp!

Yes the Twin Turbo is deffinately an option. Christ a 1000bhp Supra! :o

yeah actually 1000hp supras are dociles and streetable as long as you dont get on them too hard, its kinda freaky, but thats the joys or turbo..dont get into high boost, and you wont have huge power!
