if I had to chose between the 325i and the 318is... with "only" 136hp - I'd take the 325: better soundtrack and more power :wink:

I also would definatly take a 325 - but if I had to choose between 318is and 320i I would take the 318is because the 320i has not much torque at low revs.

I would like very much to have a 320iS, I think it's a very special model because it's an M car, almost the same thing has the m3, with the first gear-back and the Getrag gearbox.

Here in Portugal, values are around 10.000€ and 18.000€, depending on the condition and mileage.

Let's see... for now, let's see if this year I finish my Cooper S project, then I'll think in something RWD. Would like a 911-993, but maintenance costs are still too high... even if I share the car with my dad, he likes cars but he isn't as nuts has I. :D

m50 - 2.5 (190-200hp)
or... i don't know. Need to check where's problem :roll:

camshaft is ok. But many sportcars or tuned engines works hard till 1000rpm.
Don't know maybe we just need to rise revs till 1k
But it's annoying to hold your foot on the gas pedal when you stop and stuff

Maybe need to raise the auto choke of your engine so it keeps it above 1000rpm? Although you should be able to run it at idle under 1000rpm.

325 for practise
chip improvment ? Chip programmed to raise rmp a little at idle (about 1000). But I have about 900 (maybe 800). Engine works like American V8 :roll:
and ofcourse + few hp and if i'm not mistaken higher rpm limiter

When I was on the look out, rust was the main thing I was told to look for. The guy who found the E30 I mentioned builds BMW track cars and has made tons of money rebuilding rusted E30s :lol: He claims this 325is has no rust.

My advise. take the chrome part from the grill OFF! and use steel knife!
You can actually and paint em without takin off the crome. But paint holds VERY bad!

as soon as i will make some cash i'll start rebuilding it (paint,rusty parts,interior...etc)
