I'm not sure if its shown only in the North Americas, but does anyone here watch Monster Garage, it is the best show ever!?

I love it. I have almost all the shows. Cant wait for the new season when ever it starts. I know American Choppers new season starts next monday.

i watch both shows and enjoy them a lot. the discovery channel has some pretty damn good stuff. i also watch myth busters because they do some crazy shit sometimes.

I watch Monster Garage.... In my time away from hockey, the gym, school, and Jabba's, which is really not that much. But its a great show, I just wish I had more time.

That show has me looking around to take a class on welding. I love it. I gotta hand it to the Discovery Channel they are coming up with some pretty good shows. I even watch Monster House.

Yeh I love Monster Garage.. sometimes it seems "staged" and maybe it really is, but I don't really care, because it's entertaining and funny to see their creations!

Monster Garage - the only part I hate is when they take a perfectly good car and start ripping apart.
I like those "Biker Build-offs"
American Hotrod isn't as good as Chopper, Boyd seems less involved and more of a jerk than Paul sr.

I watch it sometimes, its a pretty good show, but I dont like how they test the car, it seems odd, like the announcer guy makes a big deal out of nothing..

Well, it is heartbreakin for me to watch them tear a nice car apart. For example, as a Mercedes ML daily driver, i was heartbroken when they slowly gutted out the ml to make it into a wheelchair accessible vehicle, but at the same time i was kinda facsinated at how much they can tear out and come up with such a nice lookin car...

i watch monster garage all the time.
its an interesting show. for example, they take a vw bug and make it into a water boat with a big fan that propels it.
but an another good show is monster house.
one episode they built a house into a space ship. looked very futuristic.

that went out the door many episodes ago. Before, they used to diguise it as 'freebies' to make it fit under 3000$, but now they dont even try.

this show is amazing i don't care what no one thinks. a bunch of wrenchmonkies showing their skills on national tv accomplishing something in 5 days that most people could never do EVER and then making it work? that is some good tv. i also like monster house cuz i love what they come up with (especially the christmas episode that was a tear jerker). but yeah monster garage is one of my favorite shows ever (right up there with x-files and friends and csi). i like the older episodes a whole lot better since it was raw and ingenius and they NEVER exceeded the limit, whereas the more recent episodes they don't even bother sticking to a budget.

Yeah, i believe that the budget scheme that they originally had was scrapped and how they add up the amount of money that they have used up instead of subtracting from 5gs

The funniest is when they say "Vehicle must appear to be stock" for things like the Big-Rig Trike lmao... it looked stock, right!?! or the El Camino 8 Track racer, or the Corvette Mud-Bogger. Not many of them actually appear to be stock. Even if they do appear stock, they stick some rims and fancy paint on them to ruin it anyway. lol One of the funnier episodes was the Cop-Car donut shop that actually cooked the donuts. hahaha... classic

I was watching Monster Garage about a hour ago. It was pretty cool. They put a jet engine in back of a toyota celica. Only did about 180 something but its all good. I give them credit. It was sick. :mrgreen:

They didnt have a long way to build up speed. Looked like they used a somewhat short runway. Now if they had 10+ miles of bonniville salt flats they could have gotten well above 200 but that would also have been much more risky for something built for under $40K and in only 6 days.

What is monster house about?


Same general principle but there is no mention of a budget.

A crew of contestants who have construction background have 5 days to renovate a select set of rooms in a home owners house. ALL design decisions are left up to the host and his crew of designers. The owners of the house have to say in a motorhome in front of their house for that duration of time with no information about whats going on inside.

The crew always builds some kind of theme. Usually they do 2 or 3 rooms or maybe 2 rooms and the backyard.

myth busters is cool sometimes like when they were doing the thing to see if CD's exploded in drives, and they attached one to a 110v router, and then put 220v to it, 80,000 rpms woohoo!. cd went *poof* tiny shards of death everywhere.



and yeah monster garage is a cool show. my favorite episode is with the porsche 944 golfball picker-uper

my opinion is just the opposite. anybody can be a mechanic or engineer or welder, but how many of them do you know can turn a limo into a firetruck?

My favorite show was when they transformed a corvetter stingray in to an AWD mud car.. .

Corvette Slingray for me too. It was hard to watch them destroy and gut out that car, but they did make it into one hell of a cool mud racer. Totally worth the hour watching it.

Are you heard about this game? It's come out to PC, and its rules are the same as in the TV Show! For example: you have to build a firetruck from a limousine, or you have to change an 1987 Ford Bronco to an 1987 Ford Bronco, witch can crawl rocks, :) and so on, and then you have to try it! It is a great game from a great Hungarian team! (Invictus) :) I'm so proud! :)
