Personaly, I think the X5 has always been the benchmark in SUVs, and I love the new one, in and outside!

The X5 was never marketed as an offroader. It is from the first day designed to be holding gocceries for soccer moms, riding curbs on parking lot and blocking view in the fast lane. The Mercedes M-class however is marketed as an offroader but can't do shit on/off road (first gen at least).

I believe you mate but not in Holland they don't, its known as a SUV here, they even said so in there own commercials, and in magazines :wink:

No Clue. :lol:

But if you watch the vid in the link, you will see even the smallest rocks will hit the belly of the X5. And that is no off-road at all.

That V8 however, sounds great!!! much thoatier than it's predecessor.

id stick with a range rover sport or a mercedes g wagon, there's something wrong about an off roader that cant go offroad...and it's a shame cuz cars like these give 4*4 bad names
