I like the looks of the GT-one better, and I'm not a huge fan of mazda's rotary engines so I would have to go with the GT-one

all i know is the mazda 787B was the best non-F1 car on gran turismo 3 a-spec. so i'd go with that one. :D god, that car raped ass in that game.

I'm a big fan of Toyota (I own a Toyota after all), but I would definitely choose the 787B. Yes, it was awesome in GT3, but it is also the only Japanese car to win LeMans, which is quite an achievement, and it sounds incredible. Desipte the fact that Toyota spent an ungodly amount of money they couldn't finish like Mazda...

Escudo, hmmm. Way too much power for doing anything but spinning the tires, but it is the only car that has real turbo lag, which is cool.

I prefer the Mazda (in real life no GT3), it sounds awesome !! But the Toyota is not far away behind as it looks sooo good. Did they really sale some ?? I think no, they didn't "play the game" like Porsche and Mercedes who really sold some of their cars for the road.
sound of Mazda : http://koni.no-ip.biz/film/787b_start-and-rev.mpeg

For the look I prefere the GT1, but the sound and the racing pedigree is better for the Mazda,so..MAZDA all the way

they had to make i think 3 road going cars of the GT-One for homologation or whatever, but i doubt they were ever sold

Mazda is more powerful, and lighter. I'll choose it.

the mazda is the better car almost all around but the scream of that rotary would definatley make it a chanllenge to drive for 24 hours.

hmmm the mazda looks like those '80s and early '90s sports cars(like the porsche 956/962), that was the golden decade of sports cars racing, and the mazda has a rotary engine, the 1st and last car ever to win le mans with a rotary engine, cos from '92 on its not allowed to use rotary engines at the 24heures du mans... :(

What a choice - the Mazda 956/962...

or the Toyota Enzo...

On second thoughts - maybe Ferrari copied the Toyota... ;)

(ok - just kidding - but always wanted an excuse for posting about the similarity between these 2 pairs of cars... ;) )

lol i didnt mean it that way, its just the general style of the era, with the "high" head lamps(still good ol' oldfashioned, not the high-tech stuff u c these days, they hurt your eyes!), and the round cabin, and air inlets on the sides. These days, lots of sports cars have this F1-style nose(like the Toyota GT1 and the Bentley), and air inlets on the rooftop

That's true - even the Corvette GTP of the era had the "956/962" look...

Well, it´s hard to say who is the fastest...well, i think that Gran Turismo 3 is a very realistic game, not only in graphics and playable, but in the performance of the cars... I like alot of the 2 cars, they´re true ultimate racing cars, i think they´re the best cars for a lap through a race track, off course, a F1 car is better... but according to my calcules, both Mazda and Toyota GTone stay at about just 6 seconds under a slow F1 car, like Jordan or Minardi...well, let´s remeber that here in brazil there´s the F1 official track Interlagos. A very very fast lap there is around 1 minute and 14 seconds... i think the Mazda and Toyota could do it around 1 minute and 20...or more, or less, depending of the set.
Well, they´re to fast..

:D
