It makes me think to the Ford GT90 in design and engineering. The GT90 had a quad-turbo V12 too.

wow a 7speed manual transmission? thats alot,, but ytet, i dobut itll come out into produciton, probably just a bunch of hype like the gt90 was, and the gt90 was hideous from the interior :fadein: :fadein:

I think its pretty cool! It'll be interesting to see how they manage to distribute all that power with a normal manual tranny. As with the crazy tuned Vipers, I'm worried about drivability. Hopefully it won't suffer form Chrysler reliability either.

The concept engine was made by amg. I also heard the the top speed was 245 mph.I assume that a estimated number although i don't know for sure.

It's a rip off, they also have 4 turbo, a seven-speed gear with doubleclutches by Ricardo it sounds like the Bugatti Veyron. It' a Chrysler (disappointing) why not by Dodge much better.

The only good thing about it, is that it haves an AMG-engine.

To me the side profile and the frontend of the Chrysler supercar looks too much like the Nissan R390 GT to be of comfort.

It's kind of ugly, and I am even more skeptical of Chrysler than other makes after the Tomahawk thing. I think there is hardly any chance they will build it, but if they do, great; but I won't believe it until I see a production version.

I think we can rely on the engine being good. problems will be cooling, just like the veyron whos still having trouble at 890 somthing hp. i think it looks nice. from what im hearing in the article, it sounds really incredible and stuff but i dont think it will work out. (notice the "if it doesnt go through into prooduction it will serve as a role model for other cars to come")

Last I heard they were only making 25 of them and even then it's not like you can walk intoa dealer and buy one. You can only get them from some high class catalog store place thingy. Anyone who buys one should be shot though, it's freaking stupid.

You guys keep calling the new Chrysler a concept car. It's not, it's a prototype, meaning they could build it if they choose to do so. It's basically a step further than concept stage.

I think it looks great and with that engine and it's specs, it exceeds the McLaren F1's territory.

Don't think they've made a production Tomahawk. There's still talk, but none off the production line yet.

Yes , not yet off the production line but i read that they will do it in several magazines (from official sources) : a 25 production for 250 000 USD each but it won't be homologated for the road only for your garden !! :|

well the chassis is the most important part of the car, hehe if mclaren came in :twisted:

but w/o a good chassis its going to be a failure (as in slower than zonda, enzo, cgt)

Concept/Prototype is just semantics now. The only reason they qualify it is a "prototype" is because it was designed on computer, meaning that they could transfer to manufacturing. They even hinted at it being merely an "engineering excercise" by stating that the car is still important to Chrysler even if they don't build it.

The only factor between prototype and production is the simple question: Will anybody (in significant numbers) shell out $400,000+ for a Chrysler?

It looks cool and sounds cool, but Chrysler will probably screw it up. It needs AWD though.

cars are getting more ridiculus,, alot of supercars are now over 600hp

i think all these supercar war started with enzo,, not every company just want to beat enzo

i heard the new generation of 575 will use the detuned version of the enzo engine

same as the next 360 or the updated version
and currently 616 is using detuned version of the enzo
