Man Oh Man !!! What a video !!!
The acceleration of the V(W)eyron is mindblowing, I wonder what it must feel like ... your lungs and guts getting pressed against your backbone :P
Another great momentum is the way the CGT announces his arrival ... dropping a gear down and you hear it means business ... tyres searching for grip the moment they hit the autobahn 8) 8) 8) :!: :!: :!:
and the bike ... was nowhere.
Cheers

I wouldn't exactly call that a proper match. The bike is an 04-06 Yamaha R1.

Wonderful find mate :D the acceleration of the Veyron is indeed impressive but I also love the sound of the CGT when it arrived
The acceleration is no different than any other 1000hp car. Any Twin Turbo Vette, Viper, Testarossa, Ruf or large Lamborghini would and does accellerate the same way ;)
Everyone makes it sound like the only way to have a car that quick is to drop a million on a Veyron...
Oh - all the other cars mentioned can stop and turn better than the Veyron as well.. ;)

That guy in the CGT has some balls to cut off a motorcycle like that. If im cooking around with a motorcycle, I give them as much room as possible

Great video!
Insane speed by both the Veyron and the bike! Driver doesn't seem to think that bikers are more vulnerable.

Huh? There is just tad more tech in a Veyron than any of the cars that you mentioned. That is why it costs so much. This is what the OE's call a loss leader, like Honda/Acura's NSX.
Have you ever tried putting 1000 hp (and near as much torque) through the rear wheels w/o some sort of traction or stability control?? Regarding your braking statement; I can't remember where I read it, but the Veyron can brake (albeit at high speeds) in excess of 1.6G (with the help of its air brake).

Im not having ago but what you said above is usless. Of course its no diffrent to anyother 1000bhp car. Is that not common sense. does a 500bhp car accelerate faster than anyother 500bhp car? of course not, and you would not point that out either if it was just a ferrari or lamborghini in this vid. The only reason your pointing this out is because its the veyron a car you dont care much about, which is fair enough its not everybodys cup of tea.

This reminds me of the other day when I was driving on the autobahn and was cut off by a CGT! This sentence is completely true if you replace the words "the autobahn" with "my driveway" and the word "CGT" with "my neighbor's cat."

Supra, I laugh everytime I see the car. Its bloody ugly and old piece of crap.
2000 hp Supra and I still choose a Veyron. They arent even in the same league.

hahaha, love it when the Carrera GT joins the fray! Gearchange and that familiar V10 howling in the background, just love it.

RC45: correct me if I'm wrong, but none of the cars you mentioned can brake anywhere near as well as the Veyron, either in terms of distance or stability.

Hahaha!
The acceleration from a standstill of the Veyron will be significantly better. Much better sorted transimission and launch control set-up with the added traction of 4wd and lots of weight. There is no way any of those would touch it.
Unless of course they were running on drag tyres, but then they certainly wouldn't "stop and turn better"! Oh and while we are on that, a Viper has trouble handling it's own power, let alone 1000bhp. Hippo on roller skates springs to mind! Testarossa......hahaha!
Face it, a car modified to 1000bhp in a shed in Texas is not going to be anywhere near the Veyron! I wanted to hate it when i heard about it but they actually made it work. Evo Scan (http://img97.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img4244ga6.jpg)

Well - none of that was "from a standstill" was it? You ever seen the videos of TT Vipers rolling away from super bikes like they are pedal bikes - I guess not?
I never said 100-bhp.. which is trivial.. I said 1000rwhp... which is closer to 1200bhp.
You obviously have no idea just how fast and well sorted out these modified cars can be. Many reach 200mph int he standing mile - they dont need drag tyres for that and are in fact well sorted street cars.. and will outhandle the Veyron any time.
The mere fact that would presume a modified F50 is a worse handler than a Veyron, let alone the stock F50 indicates to me you really have no knowledge. None.
You must have never heard of the Koenig Evolution Tetsarossas, or the Evolution Twin Turbo F50, or any of the other cars that are quicker.
Thats the point - you proudly announced you own stupidity when you posted that the stock Viper cant handle its own power.
This isnt XBox chum - its real life.
in your opinon :)
In my opinion its just "a very expensive car"
Period.. has nothing going for it.. other than the million plus price tag, and a high topspeed...
Theres a pretty good chance I may get to "ues and abude" one in the reasonable future, and honestly, its going to be nowhere near as exciting as being near and around a couple CGT's.

Care to support your statement?
The Veyron can brake from 250mph in under 10 seconds, or from 100mph in 3 and a bit seconds. I don't see any of the tuner cars doing anything like that. If they can, provide a link.

Shame that the bike couldnt follow the cars. Would have been interesting to see, if the CGT had a glimpse of a chance against the Veyron.
to the discussion above:
Braking distance for the Veyron is:
331m from 400kmph and
31,4m from 100kmph - I don't know better figures!
(can't post the links yet, to less posts)

The CGT doesn't stand a change as pointed out by evo's group test

Jeez, you are having a bad day!
You said 1000bhp not rwhp. See above! The Veyron makes 1000ps in very hot weather at high altitude, so at sea level 1200 is more likely. It can also put significantly more power to the road than any of the cars you mentioned. I don't see how you can dispute that?
You didn't mention F50 till now, so me presuming it's a worse handler than a Veyron must have been an imaginary conversation! Or maybe it's my stupidity making me forgetful?? Yes it will handle better than a Veyron by the way.
Hope your day improves!
