Virus/spyware that blocks google sites?

Both of the PC's at my parents house cannot access any google related site..

I can ping google.com but I cannot ping mail.google.com (gmail)

The only way I can access google is through the IP, but still no way I can access GMail..

I've run a bunch of free anitivirus and spyware programs which ahve removed somethings but I still cannot get google to work properly..

Anyone experience this before?

check through the HOSTS file (in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) and make sure there are no entries with google's domains listed.

Nothing in HOSTS except for localhost..

if you have internet explorer .. then good luck to you mate ;) :lol:

try this ..... tools >> then click on manage add-ons .. kill eerything that you dont need ...
clear the cache and the cookies ... that should do it :?

if it still dosnt work ... get Firefox or Opera :P :mrgreen:
