Sad to hear, but like others have said, is there a 997 in your near future? Just a guess after looking at your icon.

Really? GT1? GT2?

Was a personal opinion, wasn't a fact

Opinion based on this: If I had the money for a Porsche first I would buy a CGT then a GT3 and then a Turbo 8)

Cigarette1, sorry and glad to hear the old and new GT3 news :P~

GT3 will come right after CGT for my preference also :)...working hard towards that goal rite now. I'll be in Belgium for 3 weeks, I'll pay extra attention if some blue GT3 fly by me on the highway.

Cigarette1, do u happen to ride horses as well?

Your 996 GT3 MKI Clubsport is an Icon for me, the bolted in roll cage, the lightweight seats and the fire extinguisher was pure Porsche racing philosophy. I'm glad to read that you upgraded it for an awesome Porsche 997 GT3 Clubsport with and excellent color choice. :D :good:

I agree with Dani; although its sad to sell a grey GT3; its welcome to see buying the car that it replaces; at the end of the day the most important thing is to maintain the essence, and not to buy the not pure 911 IMO such as a carrera 4, or otherwise other cars that are more confortable, luxurious, probably safer, but without the fun that the 911 has

Naturally, congratulations for your taste and for your new adquisition

Is it a family car or personal car? How long did you have the Mk I for? I am a bit of a traditionalist, and would not really see a reason to change cars, especially at that level, where the next eneration is really just an incremental improvement.

Be sure to enjoy the new ride none the less.

You rotten bastard. First, I was feeling bad for you thinking that you HAD to give up your car but really didn't want to. Then I find out it was only b/c you're getting a newer, better, faster one...

...you suck :alienflip:

pretty sure it is his dads car, not his. ;)

Nice choice though, blue is a close second to white IMO....looking forward to the high-res pics!

Cigarette,

You'll have to excuse me for not feeling sorry for you. You're father is definately giving up the old GT3 for a good reason. Make sure you post up a lot of pics when you get it. I saw my first 997 GT3 yesterday. I hated the wing in the pictures, but in person, the car looks stunning! That's a GREAT color too.

Looks nice in Cobalt blue... but, as TT says - white looks better... it's more 'hardcore'! :D

At first I thought so too, GT3 = Carrara White.
Yesterday I went to see the car, had seen a couple of white ones before..Both colors make the car look "hardcore", but find this blue one more special. You just have to see it IRL once

Does anyone know if there will that much difference between a GT3 CS and RS from a performance standpoint?

i dont know much about porsches ..

RS looks like this ;)

and CS ooks like this
http://www.auto-rennsport-page.de/bilder/sportpokal/04/1/spo04_48.jpg

soo basically .. the RS is the totally stripped out low weight version .... CS has some luxury options etc ...
somebody tellme I am right

Yes your right

But the RS has also a track setup rather then a road setup.
