Six months ago the world got to see the first pictures of test mules for the next-generation BMW 7 Series, as well as several illustrations. Now, spy Brenda Priddy has caught the the first pictures of what appears to be an actual 7-Series prototype. Even under huge fake body panels, we can see that the front end styling will be similar to that of the new 6 Series, and that the overall design will be "toned down a bit." The new 7-series is not expected to be released until sometime during the 2008 calendar year.

Every covered up car is ugly at first

Should really focus on Study drawings to get an idea of the end result.

Looks like ugly tail stays .......Conclusion from owner's survey: holding 3 bags of clubs are more important than a nicer looking ass

Yeah, but it doesn't look promising. . .

Heh.. Are they really keeping the trunk the same like that? Or is it just some extra paneling for camoflauge.. Looks like they reaaally wanted to hide what the front will look like..

I think its too early to tell.. I think the current facelifted 7 series is boring..

Yeah, but it is HELLA better than the original. Dare I say it is probably the best facelift BMW has EVER done.

i doubt any of the rear end is going to make it to production. Why would they bring out a whole new generation with a carry over from the previous?

i wouldn't make any speculations just yet. We have a little under 2 years until launch (spring of 08 as an 09 MY) and alot could change until then. obviously the front end has yet to be decided on as the grille is still one solid piece, and don't count on the mirrors having the lit indicators on them either.

No I agree on that, like already said looks like its important to them that it fits 3 golf bags rather then look nice :x

I actually liked the face of the original better than the current facelifted one.. the new lights look so damn plain

i think the new 1 looks classy and understated, which isn't a bad thing at all imo... in the right colour it can look quite stunning actually, much lighter and sportier than it actually is
