I tried to do that. It worked, but I was too close to one side of the space, and being a moderate perfectionist, I felt obliged to make the car more equidistant from the two lines.

You should try a handbrake sideparking, it seems to work for Jason Plato from Fifth Gear :D fast and easy...if you get the hang of it, before you wreck the whole car....
