For 2 years as a technician. The dealer agrees to pay BMW NA a fee of $9,375.00 for my 7 months of training. In return I will be paid a salary of $800 per week every 2 weeks.

I got a sweet 1 bedroom apartment with concrete walls 9 miles from the dealership. They don't make apartments with concrete walls anymore as it is too costly nowadays. It is 820 square feet for $720 a month. I won't know what to do with all of that space as I have lived in a 400 square foot efficiency for the past 7 months.

Congrats man, sounds like a new fresh start :)

Maybe a Mcoupe, M5 or M6 company car after a year?

way to go dude.

Speaking from experience, take it conservitavely on your spending for awhile. That's not to say you can't go out for a beer with the guys once in awhile, but just try to avoid the entire mentality that "earning more means you get to spend more" :|

So are you going to be on straight salary or are you on a 3 month guarantee before going flatrate?

thanks a lot guys

Zfrk: I switch over to flat rate on 4/1/07 or earlier. I've never worked in a dealership environment before but I think this will be enough time to improve my hands-on experience and mechanical skills hopefully :)

thanks 8)

i'd be happy with a used E46 M3 and throw some CSL/competition package wheels on there, that'd be perfect

Congrats dude!! Now I can get some insider info on when local new M's come in. :D :D
I guess now your bro can get deals on work on his M, thats awesome.

thanks xander!!

yup, i'd probably do it for him for free, he just has to pay for parts :D

How big is the shop?

30 BMW bays and 10 Mini bays

they only have 21 bmw techs right now!

sounds good man!

My last dealer was 6 BMW bays and the new one is 13 (i think) plus alignment rack.

we get a new one in 2 years in a completely new location with 48 bays :D

we aren't a mini dealer though. I think the only one here that sells minis is Northwest down in Fife.
