Why did they use the windscreen for the eyes in this movie? looks like all the cars have 2 sets of eyes. :?

I like how they put the Eyes into the windscreen, make the cars more alive (filled with brain, somehow) ... not only a car with the a smile on the front and the eyes in the frontlights.
