:o

September 6th 2006 - What we have here are the first definitive pictures of the next Lamborghini Gallardo. Its radical bodywork and huge air intakes only hint at what's new underneath the neon paint.

As the Audi R8 is ready to be launched at Paris with version of the Gallardo's own chassis, it's only natural to offer the Lambo with more power and separate them in the marketplace. What this means is that the Gallardo will benefit from 600+ bhp and at he same time be catapulted beyond Ferrari F430 status.

But Lamborghini didn't stop at the engine, they have added a tasteful carbon fibre front fascia with huge intakes, a redesigned rear deck, a more prominent diffuser and wider bodywork at the wheels.

Whether or not this is a one-of prototype sent to California for testing, or the next Gallardo model in its final form, remains to be seen. Our bet is a future release at the the 2007 Geneva Auto Show. in /www.supercars.net

I don't understand. Is this the next gen Gallardo or a radical Challenge Stradale rival ?? If so then this car deserves RWD.

It certainly looks the part though!! Leave the exhausts as they are, forget the smoked rear lights and put it into production!!

So this thing is only going to have around 40hp less than the LP640, and yet it's going to weigh over 400 lbs less... What's the point of the LP640 then haha.

Exaclty...why make it so close in power to the LP640? it would probably make it faster right?

one more thing...is it just me or there are parts of that picture that don't look real? for example in the frist pic of the front of the car, the widebody and the air intake for the front brakes, they look fake...the rear pic is well done, but I'm gonna call BS on this and say it's a PS.

it's not a fake.. the info it's real.. execpt the engine part.. by the way a fake can't have reflections of the surrounds on the car.. or let's say.. it's very difficult

..... whats a next gen car doing in what looks like some dealer showroom anyway? I'm not convinced.

Looks like a regular 06 Gallardo with a customized bodykit to me... :?

And as lambocars has said here (http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42881&highlight=) - do you think that Lamborghini would release a 600hp F430-beater Gallardo in a regular showroom rather than in a big motorshow like the Paris one, to be held next month? :?

I also think Lambo would go to an extent to change the wheels to a more race/sporty design to show differences between the two

I heard this car was a unique model because of some modifications made by its owner. That's all. I really don't think it is a "next generation" of Gallardo or a Gallardo GT.

It looks the same as the current Gallardo, only with extra bodywork attached.

i didnt hink lambo could be prettier, but I have been shown to be wrong.

Supposedly this car is at a Orange Country Lambo dealership and the bodykit is aftermarket. That would explain why its at a Dealer and not a Motorshow

^The other one was a STAN. There were actually 5 other topics between this and the other.

Y'know, the other topic was stanned. :P

In any case, it has been proven that this car is not the new Gallardo. It is just a Gallrdo that has been modified to look cooler.

Looks more like just a bodykit by some tuner really.

Because it is. 0X
