But it think it's clutch and engine dont like a burnout like that.

It's probably an auto tranny, but yeah, it's alotta stress on the driveline and rear brakes.

That a regular F-150, because i dont see a lightning badge, and the exhaust ont he lightning in on the sides, also the Tailights are different. Plus the markings on the back of the Bed tells you that its not, i believe that says FX4.

The rear brakes didnt like this one bit im sure.

Ive got some nice burnout vids with sportscars doing burnouts that i filmed myself, or were at and had a friend film. Anyone got a server to host about 50mb worth of stuff?

Wow, thats the 2nd biggest burnout ive seen yet! the biggest was with a white stang and it was like 7 mins long I think. U can find it on Kazaa if u like. This wasnt a lightning. You'd hear the supercharger, and it had stock F-150 rims + was too high off the ground. Those brakes must be destroyed unless he had some line-lock. Anyone know how much it costs to have line-lock installed? or how it works? I'd be interested for my first car to save some cash on brakes when im burnin up some old rubber.

Thats actually pretty funny. I usually can't stand burnouts, but the completely absurd ones like this are classic.

Hahaha.. i've never been or seen a really long burnout in the real world.. but looking at all these vids always makes me wanna try. So anybody out there knows how hard it is to setup a line-lock or something?

You can get a line lock / roll control from Summit Racing for $110. They are easily installed with the optional roll control installation kit (also available from Summit).

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=HUU%2D1745000

I installed one of these in my 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 and it took all of two hours to do. While I was at it, I put in DOT5 silicon brake fluid throughout.

For those that don't know what a line lock does; a line lock will allow you to hold pressure in the front or rear brakes only (when in use). This allows you to do burn outs without the concern of damaging your brakes. You have it hold pressure on the front brakes for rear drive cars and hold rear brakes for front wheel drive cars.

It makes burnouts significantly easier for manual shift cars. You mash the brakes, press and hold the line lock switch, take your foot off the brake (the solenoid will hold the appropriate brake section under pressure until you release the button assumming you installed it right), take off HARD (I had a 3.55 gear set in my rearend and did them in 2nd gear), sit there for a brief period, and then release the button to ride it out. :D

This great device will also assist with launching your car while racing, but i'll let you figure that one out on your own.

Enough of my ramblings.

Later all.

Hmm... It will assist in launching of cars? I'm kinda thinking that fumbling between the foot brake, the clutch and the accelerator is enough without having to have one hand on the steering wheel and another hand on the line lock... heh

Unless you mean you use it for warming up the tyres.. but for launches?

Yeap. You can now take the foot brake out of the picture when you are waiting to launch. When you are getting ready to launch, setup just like you would with a burnout. Now when you are waiting, you will have one foot on the clutch, one on the gas, one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the shifter with one finger holding down the line lock switch. On a turbo car you can slip the clutch a bit with the line lock on to build a little boost prior to launch.

Get one and try it, you'll see.

the luxuries of a rent a car :)

How do you do that with an automatic car?? Hit the Brake and Accelerator at the same time???
