How would you guys classify the most important things that make a great car?

Let's make a top 10 (or whatever the number) list importance wise.

For instance, 1. Engine 2. Gearbox 3. Chassis 4. Suspension and so on...

We all know that it;s not just the power or just the lightweight or the brakes it's the right combination of all.

Great car in what sense? Great car to own? Great car to buy? Great car to drive? or Great historically?

Is this fantasy - no budget - no cares, or a realistic "What makes it great for you today in real life?"

I think you will see 2 different answers for most people (not including the Sultan and a few others of course).

no no I don't mean car that I or you are going to buy just in general!

And by a great car I mean the best a car could be.

1: Independant rear tires
2. Sonar
3. mice + wheel (because thats where i derive horse power)
4. Alerons
5. it has to be a Lamborghini

if it doesn't meet any single part of the criteria, then i wont even touch it with a 39 and a half foot pole.

1.- looks - no-one would buy a 700hp Fiat Multipla capable fo a 6min15 at the Ring, that's for sure! :P

2.- handling - 1000hp are great... but if the car doesn't turn - what do you need them for?? suspension, brakes up to the expectations, a fast gearbox... and - this is more personal - front-(mid)-engined RWD :wink:

3.- power and performance - an Elise can be really fun on track... but a 600hp Carrera GT is even funnier! :wink: That is - a nice soundtrack, a high-revving engine... with pedigree if possible - like the 599 using the Enzo engine! :D

4.- exclusivity - as limited as possible... you don't want to see your 330,000€ car everywhere. Luxury should be also in the pack - with a nice interor, leather 'Daytona' seats for example...

5.- electronics - this is less important for me - but I like this kind of stuff, like electronic differentials, the '500hp button' like the one in the M5, the steering wheel of the F430, with the different settings of the car...
