M6 looks tasty, and I love the last 430 pic
http://nthimage.com/Detroit/events/Ferrari_Track/Black_F430_3.jpg
yeah, the wheel isnt a bad shot, but nothing special IMO
Ha ha, I think I've seen that M6 the other day on the road, or it migh have just been a similar one.
Some nice panning shots you have there!
and kool magazine cover you have on the main page.

yeah, its been "only a cover" for too long.
and... well, i don't think there are many Hamann M6's around, so you likely saw that one :)

to be honest... i was a pretty disapointed with a lot of the shots... i know i was running very open shutter speeds; but i love panning shots sooo much. :P

Great pics!. IMO the best pic out of this bunch is the panning shot of the V8 vantage. Well done!
So many pics, and so many nice cars!
Thanks a lot for the coverage!
I must say it's a bit of a pity some of the best shots are a bit blurry, no idea why, I guess shit happens
Like this: http://www.nthimage.com/Detroit/events/Ferrari_Track/Black_F355_Spyder_2.jpg
or various panning shots, just because you want the biggest sense of speed possible :P
But just beeing picky here. Do you have a fav you want to use for the contest? I still have a Z06 on file so far

yeah, its a real PITA with a cheap lens. Its' close enough to post, and enjoy it; but def. not POTM material.
right now, i think my favorite is this
http://nthimage.com/Detroit/events/Ford_GT_Rally/Viiper_SRT-10_3.jpg
and this right behind
http://nthimage.com/Detroit/events/Ferrari_Track/Aston_Martin_AMV8_2.jpg
but 430's seem to win a lot :P and you can't get much mroe ferrari then this
http://nthimage.com/Detroit/events/Ferrari_Track/Red_F430_17.jpg
but of those 3, i still prefer the panning viper shot.

nthfinity , your work is so professional looking. Nice meeting you again out at the track, all I had was my little camera, the videos did not come out very well.
My stuff on the same event posted in the Off-Topic section of the Pelican Parts BBS forum. Do a search using the word "Waterford", should see the Ferrari track day thread I made. Sorry, no link as I have under 25 posts here.
Side story about that day:
I took the day off work to watch some Ferrari owners have their fun at the Waterford track. On the way back I'm in my old 911 with my buddy (Bruce) and I can't wait for this Harley to pass us, we don't try to even talk when it's around.
I end up at a stop light with one of the later model Z-28's, a convertible, white with muted orange racing stripes, and a pin head at the wheel with a bottle blonde in the passenger seat.
The light turns green and out of no where the Z-28 lights them up. I lay back and let the fool get out of my way. Then the funny part happens, apparently there was a fast Jap bike behind the Z-28, he pulled out into my lane (six car lengths ahead of me) and passed the Z-28 like he was standing still. We were in shock at first, then we both smiled and started to laugh at the Z-28 driver. He thought he was so hot and got dusted by the guy behind him, not on the side of him.
No matter how fast you are, there is always someone faster.
Drive and ride carefuly, and leave it at the track.
Cheers, George/kach22i

it was nice to see you again George :) It was also good to see the Targa keeping on still.
We took a lot of pictures and then were reminded that this was by invitation only. So we hung out outside the fence and had a much better view. Besides, my lungs were already filling up with the heavy smell of Ferrari clutch while in the pits.
I wondered where you guys had gone to. It's not exactly easy getting in there... and they gave Ken some dirty looks over not bringing a different Ferrari
thanks for sharing your photos too; and don't worry about the videos; as i dont have any, so something is 100,000x better then what i took.

Yeah - we are beginning to learn for every 5 minutes of video you need about 2 hours of footage.. ;)

Are you serious about someone having a hang up about bringing the same old Ferrari?
What happened is we were on our way back up to the observation tower where you were at, and Bruce was just hanging around waiting for me to come out of the Men's room. This guy walked up to Bruce and told him it was by invitation only becuase the dealership was paying for the whole day, Ferrari guys only had to pay $125 I guess.
Had this been a Porsche Club of America event I'm sure many of the car owners would of struck up conversations with us. The Ferrari people seemed to be a little more guarded, I didn't talk to even one of them. Well we did talk to one of them, she was real hot little number. Maybe they were protecting their women and not their cars.8)
Even though my friend Bruce has a 1981 308 GTS, I don't think he fits into that crowd and neither do I. Ferrari's are cool, and I still would like to own one someday.

they were hung up because I think they were expecting him to bring his *cough cough* 650 hp Ferrari, not his F430.
They are a different kind of people; but I struck up a few conversations with some of the guys; and they were quite nice.
The women... well, some people tune thier cars with aftermarket cars; some buy already high strung cars, and tune thier women with aftermarket parts  :P well, only a few were like that... and those "parts" definately did help :P
...
but of those 3, i still prefer the panning viper shot.
Ok!
