What's the meaning of "modern supercar"?!

You could have ABS, ESP, or also an "electronic pilot" which drives the car, but 580cv are alwais 10 (TEN) times the power of my small Ford Fiesta! :o

Be carefull guys! Modern supercars power is exagerated, and it's quite normal if a modern "sport station wagon" can have 500cv!

Last crashes made by Murci lp640 or Ferrari Enzo drivers teach us that we're simply men, and we must love our life more then a supercar!

Italian supercars are my drug, but when I see scenes like theese, I'm sad to love them! :(

Connect your brain before to start the engine!

R.I.P. the pilot and the girl who was with him!

Warning or not, as I've said on anyother forum: whoever went out of their way to take pictures of the two dead bodies is a fucking Ghoul, and those that post them on Forums are not much better.

luwalira
08-19-2006, 07:21 PM
Sure posting pictures of dead people is unrespectful but lets face it, reading about fatal accidents and looking at pictures of wrecked Enzos only tells half the story. Here we get a chance to see the full reality and what can happen to the people sitting inside a wrecked car.
This will hopefully give you, including me an understand of how disastrous it can get out on the roads.

I see no problem with the images being shown.. the thread title had a warning.

I further see no lesson either, after all, people die in accidents involving 60hp diesle cars everday.. yet I don't see people lamenting about how fragile we are and how precious life is and show respect to families etc etc etc.

Lets face it folks.. the only reason you guys give this accident a second glance, is because it is an exotic car.

The accident might have been driver error, road surface, equipment failure, driver distraction, passenger interfering with the driver, drunk driver, bumblebee in the eye, a wild hog running across the road or even another driver cutting them off..

...in the end does it even matter? As I eluded to earlier, had they been driving a Honda minivan none of you would even give a shit - especially the holier than thou's in this thread.

It ws a car accident, 2 people dies - sad event - but not the end of the world... I mean what about the lebanese babies that hezbollah is killing? ARe those pictures any less "ghoulish"?

The point is, anyone taking pictures of two dead people and then splashing them about the internet is a ghoul. It has nothing to do with the fact that the car is a Lamborghini, and everything to do with the fact that there is no need for it. Yes, this is more ghoulish than pictures of dead Lebanese babies, as at least those pictures are in context, and that context is related to the war in that area, whereas these are just the kind of pictures that websites such as ConsumptionJunction, Ogrish and the rest feed on, like the bottom-feeder parasites that they are.

Hhhmmm - this is a car acdident.

They happen every day - the images are aweful and eye opening - but they are reality and you don't have to look if you choose not to... but they are in conetxt.

Life is in context.

Maybe having spent a year as a firefighter when I was 18 years old, hardened me to this sight - one never get "used" to seeing charred bodies... but you come to accept tem as part of being a fragile human being in a rought harsh world.

Now they couldn't get out because of the Lambo's scissor doors right? I assume that they would have had a much better chance of survival if the car had conventional doors.

This is the second time I have seen a Murcielago upside down and charred from catching on fire.

Actually, I agree, it is sad enough for their family to lost their loved ones, it will really really hurt them when they realize the death pictures of their loved ones are circulated all over the internet. I agree ppl can always choose not to watch but it cannot hide the fact they they are all around the world, and probably lengthen their psychological healing time.

nickthaskater
08-20-2006, 02:12 AM
With the history of Lambos going up in flames, you'd think they would implement some sort of emergency door release system since the doors are completely useless in a roll-over. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that scissor doors aren't really going to work when the car is upside down.

These are the most shocking pics I ever saw... Please tell me that they were dead before it caught fire.... My opinion is that sometimes we should see pics like these because it puts us on thouhts. Poeople who have heart will drive more careful after seeing these. Does anybody know exactly how the accident happened? As I see, the main causes were excesive speeds and irresponsability.

Suck it up.

If some one were in an accident, then the family would already know, and the truth is that their (or mine or yours) mutilated bodies would be seen by the EMS workers or anyone on the scene... so what exactly is the difference?

Whether seen by 1, 2, 2000 or 20 million people - it does nto change the event or the outcome.

And how hypocritical can people get - there are burned babies on TV everynight..

"that's life bub" is not an answer to "how would you feel if this happened to your children?" now is it?

Let me just say this: I hope that your family are safe and don't end up in a horrible crash where the burn to death, as I'll make sure to send you high res pictures of them every day: from the morning after, through the funeral and for years to come.

You just dont accept that as an answer - not my problem now is it?

See - now thats just you being a fucking idiot to even suggest that "images posted online" is even close to "sending them images for years to come".

That demonstrates just how arbetrary you are making this.. and turning into an argument... thereby defeating any hope of respect for the deceased.

It is possible to have respect for the dead and see them you know.

I have to say that that is a pretty graphic scene. Its sad that things like this are happening and people like r2r are upset because supercars have to follow the same saftey regulations as othercars. If this could result in death, then why the hell would you want them less safe.

RIP for the them, and my prayers go out to their family's well being.

You're funny, and in so much denial. I'm well-known on the Internet, so don't worry about me being a 12 year old boy (although that may be to your taste, as I've had a few messages passed to me that you love bafana bafana).

So, yet again you can't answer the question? You're too much.

So we get down to the nitty gritty.. you're "well known" on the intardnet...

that's your claim to faim.. you live at home in your mothers basement and are "well known" on the interwebs...

Probably means you're either a Catholic Priest, pedophile or both... that would get you noticed... which is what you need and want - right?

Yes, I'm well-known on the internet. I ran a large picture-hosting site and before that I ran a large artwork-hosting site. Ergo, I am known to quite a lot of people.

EDIT : Odd that pictures of rosses penis offend you lambo hunter?

I never pictured youas the conservative type... you are known for posting naked women online...

I was simply reposting pictures that he himself had shared with the world already...

Its not that far fetched that ross aka teflontron age 26 from the UK is the same one on JW as on other forums...

These images show what was once clearly a mans pride and joy, a Lamborghini Murcielago. We can see images taken by the side of a track showing the car in pristine condition. The late middle aged man was apparently out for a drive with a young lady when, it is suspected, a combination of excessive speed and rough roads lead to him losing control of the vehicle.
Authorities believe the two were probably trapped inside the car after it flipped and died whilst trying to escape the flames after the car ignited.

I have nothing against people taking different views to the ones that I have: afterall, that's what makes the world go round. I just have problems with disloyal know-it-alls who think that the sun shines out of their ass.

Explain the disloyal comment? And unlike you - I do infact know it all... so what's the problem?

And again - where the fuck do you live?

You ashamed of where you call home?

No, you

And why do you have to call me a dick head? I don't recall chastizing you... no wait... I take that back, considering I have chastized most idiots at one time or another, I have probably chastized you at some time.

Well - fast cars and regular cars - right?

Of course you are more likely to have such a big off if you are going really fast - but if it's equipment failure this reality could happen anytime to any car.

Case in point - Ford Explorers with Firestone tyres,

Cars that were designed to be driven fast, should be designed to protect their occupants. No exotic car I know of is really designed to survive a crash at high speed. The recent crashes of the Enzo in Utah and Malibu seem to show it is structurally stronger than the Ferrari 355, which seems to be a death trap in a high speed crash. A fire suppression system in this car might have saved these people. Not a big addition to the cost of this car in manufacture, especially for one which someone very smartly pointed out can't be exited when its up side down.

Rollcage, harness and HANS device.

Thats all you need.

The doors not being able open is a moot point if you are smashed to bits by the time the car comes to a stop... same for the fire suppresion system.

I think the HANS device is very important, when your wearing a helmet. Those two poor guys in LA in the Carrera GT died even though the car was pretty intact after the crash. The added weight of the helmets, they were wearing, with all those air bags going off broke their necks.

Why do you have to add a roll cage? It should be built into the car when its manufactured and designed.

Thats what I mean.

Ruf creates great built-in rollcages for the Ruf VIN'ed cars... you don't even know they are there.

I was searching for more information on this crash and I found it. Unfortunately, it was paired with two aged men fighting each other like little children over the internet.

What questions me though is how an idea of Hizb'Allah killing Lebanese infants was concieved. My guess is the radical Texan in you forced that response. Noticing that you are either on the far left or the far right, don't respond to that.

Looking at all of the arguments you have gotten into on this website, you remind me of O'Reilly and Nancy Grace. It seems that you have never been in a debate since your responses to everyone are as ignorant as the citizens of New York. Tip: being loud does not make you win. I wonder if you actually get into discussions in real life.

FYI, the Firestone/Ford debacle was mutually a driver error--being that most of the idiots on the road jolt their steering wheels when their tires fail. I don't need to explain. You can inform yourself. The internet is more than a forum.

Actually, don't respond since I am not going to read it. (You probably will though since the internet is your life)

Yes.. and your point?

What questions me though is how an idea of Hizb'Allah killing Lebanese infants was concieved.

Because they do... right? I take it you are a hezbollah supporter then..? right?

My guess is the radical Texan in you forced that response. Noticing that you are either on the far left or the far right, don't respond to that.

Soyou want me to respond - or you don't?

Looking at all of the arguments you have gotten into on this website, you remind me of O'Reilly and Nancy Grace.

Both are a little extreme - but seem to be banking some coin...

It seems that you have never been in a debate since your responses to everyone are as ignorant as the citizens of New York.

Ignorant as the citizens of New York? Interesting - New York is not really a country.. so I would rather refer to them as residents... but why would say they are ignorant?

Is that why your cousin flew a plane inot the WTC?

Tip: being loud does not make you win. I wonder if you actually get into discussions in real life.

Loud always wins.. and I never need to discuss things in real life - I am never wrong.. nothing to discuss.

FYI, the Firestone/Ford debacle was mutually a driver error

Totally moot information - the point was that even a "regular vehicle" can kill you - whether self induced or because of equipment failure..

--being that most of the idiots on the road jolt their steering wheels when their tires fail.

Which still puts the root cause of the accident at equipment failure... so again - whats the point?

I don't need to explain. You can inform yourself. The internet is more than a forum.

No? Really?

Wait... let me guess - you are that other chaps host in connecticut... I bet you are.. ;) :P
