From what I have read about this thing, I believe those power figures were taken at the wheels. They also say the engine is more than capable of handling 1,000hp +, but they weren't aiming for outright power, rather a balance. Either way, I fucking love it.

PS. The wide-body was necessary as there was no room to go inboard for wider wheels/tires, and it's functional as well, in that the hood extracts heat, and so on.

In addition, this is still a bit of a work in progress. Predator plan on taking it to a wind tunnel for fine tuning the aero work, as well as tuning the suspension through track sessions, so it's definitely not going to be just a straight line ground pounder.

Which is a good thing. :D

^Regardless, it's not easy to put down 800 on the ground. It's gonna be one hell of a car to drive / control

No one said it would be easy haha, but providing you're not over-zealous with the throttle, it's probably quite drivable.

Damn that looks evil! It would be nice lowered a bit and also from the picture and in real life the caddy is a bit skinny....needs to be a bit wider!

Pretty nice. Not a fan of the blacked out lights and the wheels, but with that power you really wont see anything but smoke and blur.

Edit

Second look. The wheels arent that bad. The chrome and black combo match the chrom grill pretty well.

How much does it weigh?
A stock CTS-V is 3,509 lbs so says Cadillac.com, though Edmunds and Motor Trend claim 3,850 lbs... So with the C5R aluminum block and other lightweight engine components, along with the superchargers, probably around 3,800 lbs? I really have no idea haha.

I've heard from Mallet himself that CTS-V's with 700+hp are actually quite easy to drive.. he mentioned something about gettin it sideways at 150mph with no sweat..

^ LoL......... i dont think you can get anything sideways at 150mph with no sweat.

Thats pretty fast you know. Maybe he was sayin the back steped out and he caught it before it left him, cause that is very different from getting something sideways.

Ok, here I am running right at the speed limiter in my BMW M5........oh look here is sweeping corner.........why dont i just flick it in there and have a little fun.

That would make the best drivers piss on themselves
