I got yelled at by a hippie in one location "Nobody wants to see your car in the meadow. Move along." lol
So r u enjoying the car thus far?

Its too comfortable to tell you the truth lol. I find myself missing turns all the time now because I just get so relaxed. U-Turns suck ha ha. Raced a mustang the other day and smoked him pretty hardcore. I think I want to get the supercharger now though, maybe the lowering springs as well.
With this car the tuning will probably never stop.

what kind of mustang were you racing? no offence but a 99+ GT should not be spanked by you.

I dont think it was a GT, last gen it was, but cant tell you details because he was so far behind me ;)
Is that roof all glass?
If so, how much extra weight is that?

Even the V6 whouldn't be spanked by a Scion. I question the fact that the other driver knew they were racing.
Congrats on entering the new age ricer crowd

What is so ricer about a stock scion tc. If he had a bunch of neon, a rediculous paint job, pointless body panels, and a 5 inch diameter exhaust maybe so. But the car is completly stock.
I guess in your mind, you would be joining the ricer crowd if you bought an Integra Type-R, or even a Toyota Supra. If these cars would enter me into the "ricer crowd" then call me a fu**ing ricer, cause either one would run laps around that Mustang GT that you are speaking of.
But just so we understand - the tC is a cool car, but it is also only about 230bhp - right? And weighs about 2700lbs? Right?
Or am I way off base....??

LOL RC, yeah i know you are way off on the hp rating. It has only 160hp, im pretty sure (Its the 2.4L engine directly from the camary). It isnt your daily hot rod for sure. Not to positive about the weight though.

Huh?
They sell cars with less than 200bhp? ***!!!WHOOOOAAAA!!!!***
That's an eye opener :P

Hey 80ssportlover, nice pictures! 8) I like those tC's, although I haven't driven one yet. How do you like yours? Can you give us some driving impressions, and when are you going to get the TRD supercharger? :D ;)

Look here son, the only panties im untwisting are the ones off the women of your family. You must feel good talking big through some text, cause I dont remember lashing out at you in my comment.
Anyway, I really dont feel like arguing about shit like this. If the man said he was racing, then let the man race. Yo ass wasnt there so how you gonna tell the story to the storyteller. The tc 0-60 is 7.4 as tested by C/D and the mustang V6 is 6.9. Driver skill can determine a race like that.
And what does you saying "I'm talking about his claims of spanking a mustang with a scion" have to do with my comment. All I said is why does a having a scion tc enter u into the "ricer crowd." I could care less if it is a GT or a V6, i just happen to say GT - whoops.
Anyway maybe you should get some rum or something to calm your nerves, but one thing I know you need to do is stop trying to be the internet gangsta unless u you prove u can do it in person
And that probably wont happen, so chill out.

Sorry bro but im no ricer and V6 mustangs are not that fast, neither are the GT's when compared to other sports cars of the same price lol. My old Fiero GT had only 140hp and look at these numbers.
Lets compare these two V6 cars, the mustang is more expensive and 9 years younger? The convertables are even slower!
1995 Ford Mustang 0-60(9.9) 1/4 Mile(17.3s)
1986 Pontiac Fiero GT 0-60(8.0) 1/4 Mile(16.2s)
http://www.albeedigital.com/supercoupe/articles/0-60times.html
Oh and dont forget the scions specs
0-60 mph : 7.5 sec.(manual)
0-¼ mile : 15.7 sec @ 88 mph(manual)
you haters gotta remember this is not an xA or xB(ox)
http://www.modernracer.com/sciontc.html
Sure its not that fast but for what I payed its quick, and I can beat mustangs among many other cars.
Why is it that Mustang owners and lovers are so uneducated? I had this tow truck driver when I was going to get an alignment tell me his stock v6 mustang could take my Fiero around the track.....lol ummm a stock Fiero GT can compete with Porsche boxters on the track, dont tell me some stock v6 mustang is going to keep up. When he said my V6 Fiero would catch fire it just made him instantly brainless.
Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Ive driven the last 3 generations of mustang and ridden in even more. 1967-1970 Much love and respect. After that.....Ford Garbage. Why not just put a V8 in a shopping cart?

show me the video of you spanking (4 or more lengths) a 3.8L V6 Mustang and i will retract me statement. Anything less than that, and my statement stands.

this may be true, but if it's lost THAT much power in 7 years, i pray that Ford completely retooled that engine series for the new generation

the 4.0 liter V6 in the 05 mustang is just that

4.0L V6 210 hp.............Why is that engine even in existence.
My moms family orientated chrysler concord has a 3.5L V6 with 243 hp.
And that engine was developed years ago, during the Plymoth Prowlers introduction.
As a matter of fact, I think my moms concord could "spank" the new gen mustang v6. Ha
Ford needs to do something about that

^^^^^^
uh oh, not another "more hp/liter = better guy.....
first, is that engine a DOHC engine?
Is it touted as a high-output engine?
the V6 in the Mustang is a cheap, easy to build long lasting engine. It also happens to make more power then some old 5.0's out of the box.
nothing special, nor was it meant to be.
if you would rather have that power in FWD, then fine, enjoy it :P

Actually you said the 3.8 had a problems with losing power. Unless I am mistaking, that 4.0 L V6 was first introduced with the new model mustang. If that is the case we really dont know how long lasting it really is.
True engine I am speaking of is a high-output engine; nevertheless, it is also cheap to build and has been in many "Mopar" cars for sometime now. Not only that, but it is one of the most reliable engines on the market and once it was tamed as one of the best V6's in the world....All this and still being just as mass produced as the V6 in mustang.
All I am saying, is that I think that engine in the V6 mustang is pointless. Dont get me wrong, it is very strong engine and can be modded up to nice amounts of power. But then again when Chrysler also creates a 2.8L V6 engine that is in thier "lower end" models that make about 200 hp, it juggles my understanding to why that 4.0L V6 engine in what is supposed to be a "sporty" car. But you are right about it being cheap to make, and thats all that matters with the V6 mustang. People who buy that car dont buy it for the speed, but for the looks and the rights of having a mustang...so might as well make the engine as cheap, but reliable as possible.
Also, its not my car, its my mothers and I wouldnt buy it, but let me ask u this. If the fwd focus st and the rwd mustang v6 were both rated at 220 hp, which one would you rather have?
Focus ST for me please :D
