This was far less worse than what happened at Monaco, or when Schumi deliberately drove into Villeneuve in 1997, not even mentioning all the disqualifications and the deliberate collision with Hill in 1994.

I was going to write that, and this penalty is hard as Schumi in Monaco, Alonso is going to be in the last positions... I cant believe such a hard penalty for something we have seen lots of times the fridays and saturdays ... In the case of Monaco i would have deleted Schumi's first fast lap and give him his second fast time, Like i would have do wuth the case of Alonso. You cant compare manoveur of Schumi in Monaco with this little anger between Alonso and Doornbos, and the penalty for this case is harder than should be, i would have put an economic penalty....

First off, it was two 1-second penalties, one for his uncalled for aggression on Doornbos (who happened to wind up 4th in the session mind you, not exactly a backmarker), and one for passing under the yellow flags, which is inexcusable whoever you are.

A one second penalty for nearly running Doornbos off the road, then brake checking him at a pretty critical corner, is hardly something to bitch and moan about. There's a reason Renault aren't protesting the penalties you know.

I wasn't denying MS's action in Monaco, but as a fan, I really don't know how to defend him, that's explains the quietness. Same here for FA, it is obvious that he's doing some dangerous driving here, I really don't see why ppl can still defend as if it is okay for everyone to do this kinda things.

The definition of 'sportive' can vary from person to person. Some view it as competing and winning at all costs, others see it in a more traditional gentlemanly way, and so on.

Either way, in Schumacher's ~15 year career, 8 listings on a Wikipedia page is really not all that much. Juan Pablo could've likely been cited double that with 1/3 of the career.

Unfortunately I have to agree that on a few incidents that he's indeed unsportive. namely the 94 and 97 bumping incidents. That said, a few black dots of a paper does make it entirely black. To MS, I think a win is more than anything, that might also explains why he stays in F1 for such a long time, coz if he retires, he'll stop winning. Moreover, he did tame himself down over the years and still remain competitive. His never give up spirit and desire to win (even with his records) wins the respect of many, including me.

Driving aggressively isn't cheating in my book. Is it the best choice? Sitting here typing this, no, but who can really judge without getting in the car at that very moment? Emotion is part of sport.

As I have said from the very beginning, the whole reason why I'm even making a reasonable deal about this Alonso incident, is because it was during a practice session, and quite early on in said session. That and the conflict was with a Friday driver. Had it been during a race or qualifying with an actual racing driver, then my opinion would be different, but to act as he did when he did, is very unbecoming.
