If I want comfort and luxury in a car I'll buy a luxury car, the Z06 is the best performing car there though, so I'll take it.

Plus my bank could never afford an F430

I was just saying that the Z06 was the best in terms of pure performance, out acceleration, out braking, and turning in a lap time nearly 2 seconds quicker than the 2nd place car.

My original comment was made with some tongue-in-cheekiness to it though. Given the choice between an F430 and a Z06, I'd shit my pants trying to decide, I love them both for entirely different reasons.

^^^remember that the euro-spec F430 wasn`t timed, no LC starts, no braking (this model had carbo-ceramic brakes) and as you`ll see in the article had shitty tyres

Alright you want a reply laughing boy? First off, I don't live in Europe, and Car and Driver is not European, so European features are irrelevant to begin with. So what if it didnt have launch control? Launches should be up to the driver anyways. As for the brakes, the "Lords of Envy" article from which the times were taken, did not specify which brakes were used, so that's up in the air, either way the track time was taken from the Euro car with carbon brakes, and was still slower. As far as tires, the car doesn't come with Pirellis, so why should they test with them?

Did you even bother to read the article ? I doubt

So what if it didnt have launch control?

In case you didn`t know , it`s slower without it , k ?

European features are irrelevant to begin with

Really ? The test was made in Europe

article from which the times were taken, did not specify which brakes were used

Sureeee, read the article

As far as tires, the car doesn't come with Pirellis

It does if you want so , k ? You have to choose

I'm not daft, I realize it's faster with launch control, but that's not a feature available here so oh well. Either way, that still doesn't affect the lap time.

Test in Europe? So what? It's an American magazine.

Read the Lords of Envy article? I did, and I don't recall seeing anything specifying which brakes were equipped on the F430 for that test.

As far as tires, the Bridgestones are the standard equipment if I recall correctly, either way it was tested with them and those are the results.

I don't even know why you're trying to argue so badly, I love the F430 and am not trying to berate it, you're just getting pissy it seems because I like the Z06 as well.

car and driver is stupid. i think it was a bad choice when road and track did a similar test in the same month which was much better... try taking a look at that. atleast they have tested figures of the 430f1 along with the z06 and 997turbo in addition to the ford gt, srt10, and gallardo

as far as z06 vs f430?? i dont understand that question. i dont understand how the z06 would even come across my mind if i am considering a 430 but thats just my opinion.

but for the money, if it really did matter, then i probably would not be able to consider the 430.. if i wanted the performance, sure i agree that the z06 is great for what you spend. but the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

on a side note,
the stupid car and driver article based everything on like numbers from 2 years ago for the 430

i like r&t article alot better...
