No performance upgrades yet, im just seeing how comfortable im going to be with the payments before I start adding stuff on there. It lots of fun, and im told the manual (which I have) is a lot faster than the automatic.
Buying that car means you have no imagination whats so ever. Sorry.
Right. :?

....and you drive what?
congrats man, i wouldn't really mod it at all. unless you boost it you don't get to much. maybe do some retro HID, and some mild ext. mods. just keep it clean.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This car really is perfect for me after the Fiero. Passenger and storage space, good gas mileage, decent amount of power, especially with the manual tranny and its was fairly inexpenisve for all that it comes with.

The nice thing about Scion is that I can go back later and say..."yknow what, throw the supercharger on there and a wing" and theyll say ok and ad 10-20 bucks a month onto my paymants yknow?
Id like to get the supercharger someday, itll scream then =)
congrats on the car!!
I don't know if the white is the best color on the tC but if you like it it's all good.

Congrats on the new car man!! I've always thought that the TC was quite a good buy, both from the "sensible" and the "sporty" points of view. The only real issue is that it's a bit heavy for outright performance, but, that being said, it's quite tunable and what with all the "stock aftermarket" parts that are available, you could be adding to it for years to come if you want.
Again, congrats, and as for bmw06m6, all I can say is that that was an incredibly aasshole-ic thing to say, and it doesn't reflect well on you at all.

The interior looks great. The car looks too fat for it's wheels, but it still looks good overall. Good choice. They don't have this car Down Under.

Yup. Scion is North American only as far as I know. The tC is the first car in their lineup that isnt just a toyota rebadge

One thing I did miss, do you still have the Fiero?

I didn't know the car since it's not sold in Europe, but it's not a bad looking car!!
And it's a sports coupé, so congrats on you purchase. An 2.4 160hp engine does sound a bit weird though if they've got a 1.8 192hp in the Celica TS.

Buying that car means you have no imagination whats so ever. Sorry.
Apparently, you either know nothin or you are jealous.
I have driven that car, and although it isnt my favorite FWD car ever, it is a nice car to drive. Plus it has the quality feel directly from its parent company, Toyota. For the price and standard features that come on that car, there arent many new cars in the same catagory to compare.
Anyway
I think you made a good choice. The fact that you bought solid, reliable, sporty, upgradeable, warrentied, and affordable car (with a proper manual of course), shows that you have a great imagination and that you appreciate a good car when you see it.

I never got the chance to congratulate you on your ride. I think you made an awesome choice, especially in the white color you got it in. I love how it contrasts with the panoramic sunroof. One of my roommates has one, and he loves it. I got to drive it around and it was pretty damn fun.
I wish you many more safe and fun miles in her Midengine.

Thank you very much ;) My only regret is just the fact that they are sooooooo popular around here. Ive never liked cars you see on every block, but here I am owning one lol. Theres like 4 others just in the employee lot at work. Still though, I love my car =)

That was one of the biggest reasons why I chose white. Looks great with the black glass roof

^^^ Yeah, it's true that they are everywhere, but that's just because they're one of the best new cars you can get for that kind of money. If the price range for when I got my car was ~20k, I would have gotten the tC as well, almost no doubt at all.
Btw, love the second shot, looks like you took it in Monterey :good:

Bump. My buddy maxed it out on my move to Colorado......
Scion tC Top Speed (208kph / 128mph) - YouTube
Nice road to max it out on there - next time, pull over and get out for a fly by :)

Here speedometers are nearly always set to over read. Usually by about 10mph at that sort of speed. Use a GPS system to prove this.
I don't know how accurate the speedo in the TC may be, but overreading is a great feature for manufacturers . . . it makes the car look quicker, more fuel efficient, and more reliable (racks up miles more quickly.)
He could just get a good estimate with math . . . he knows his engine rpm and could look up the gearing and then make a couple of estimates for different tire diameters (as it varies a bit at speed) and I'm sure he'd atleast get a good idea of how accurate his reading was.
