Porsche and Lamborghini.

I’m board and I just thought I would throw that out their so everyone could bitch, moan, complain and criticize me. And yes I know Porsche bought 18.65% of VW in 2005 which is too bad.

Yeah listing Lambo was obviously a dig. And it is basically a completely new company since Audi/VW bought them, a better company. Lambo was always on the brink of bankruptcy so its one example of how going German was a good thing.

Noooo! They're still Ital at heart ;)

They're still made in Italy right?

Is TVR a russian car maker because a russian guy has bought it?? NO - so Lamborghini is not german but italian........

Is there anything Spanish at all about the SEAT León (Golf)?? Even if it is built in Spain? ;)

You said the difference yourself. TVR bought by a rich individual, Lambo bought buy a rich car company. Plus the new Lambos have a lot of VW/Audi technology in them. I would say Lambo is at least 50% German now.

That discussion about Lamborghini be german is absolutely pointless  :P

Anyway, back to the topic, I like all the german car makers. I think all of them are good in the type of car they make. The worst IMO is Porsche cause they built sport cars so their cars should have a lot more passion

As far as Porsche goes I don’t like the Boxter or Cayman (Cockster), but love the 911.

Also as a kid I loved the 928 and 944. It would be really cool if they do a new front engine. Even if I am getting tired of all these retro cars I would like to see a new 928. ;)

And yes I know Porsche bought 18.65% of VW in 2005 which is too bad.

Why is that too bad? Porsche and VW have worked together for many many many years. Also, Porsche didn't become the worlds most profitable car company by being stupid. They bought a huge stake of VAG for a reason.

Some of that reason is Porsche is helping VW by not allowing certain other larger foreign companies possibly buying into VW/Audi

Porsche now has 25.1% stake in VW.
