17 year old american girl tries to fly to isreal to marry a 20 year old muslim she met on myspace. She gets intercepted in Jordan and sent back, and her parents buy into the whole thing :?
i really can't tell who is more retarded. The girl, for thinking that she he actually loves her. Or the parents for not locking her up :?

There are 3 different people where I work that are married to people they met on my space. So what’s the big deal, when she turns 18 it’s her choice, no one else’s. I have a feeling that if she would have tried to fly to Jordan to meet an American GI stationed there no one would even care. People just don’t like to see a white girl with a Muslim.

it still would have made the news.
i'll bet all 3 of those people will be divorced in another 2 years

That chick confused infatuation with love.
Most kids you see getting married these days in their teens, have split up within 3-5 years. The main problem with us humans, is that we change way too much up until our mid twenties. Only then do we begin to "settle down" in our way of thinking.

I deleted mine a couple months ago, there was no point really. Message boards like these are far better in terms of getting to know someone, since you can see them intereacting with various people, and not just putting on some charade for you.
