Monday is when Bugatti execs decide whether the so called "baby bugatti" is to continue into full development, or be axed.
whatever the outcome is, it wont be made public (at least not right away)
the real question is can Bugatti have a vehicle that wont take away sales form Lamborghini, Bently, Audi etc. ?
if Lambo is really for sale... then perhaps this makes some sense... but i dont see the germans letting go of Lamborghini just yet.

I doubt Bugatti will have much of an impact on the sales of any of these high end sports cars. There's a long waiting list for pretty much everything that costs over 200k and I doubt the list will dwindle with the release of a new Bugatti a few years down the line. And besides, some people have never heard of Bugatti, therefore a Lamborghini or Ferrari branded car sounds better :D.

Lamborghini is just making benefits isn't it ? It would be weird to sell it now :|

That I think is where the Veyron comes in. It was like a huge marketing excercise. They certainly didn't make any money from that project, but they have gotten the Bugatti name out there again. I think a baby-Bugatti would do good, but who knows it it'll ever happen.
If it was a marketing exercise, then it was a complete flop. Nobody outside of the car-loving community knows about the Veyron. S O M E people still remember the Bugatti name from old, but very few 35-50 somethings know anything about it.

Lambo haven't sold as this much in many many years, thanks to the gallardo and gallardo spyder, they're making a nice profit so yeah, it would be weird selling...
Firstly, Its highly unlikely that Audi will sell Lamborghini at this time, since they are only starting to make a profit!
Secondly, It would definitely be better to have another less expensive bugatti model at which they can profit, but they are trying to figure out if their marketing would work for them to have a supercar that would compete with the competitors but also NOT compete with their own Audi, and Lamborghini supercars.
They would have to market it just right to make it work IMO.

The Veyron was just to show of what they could do, what was Technically possible, what do they want to prove with this?

They want to get a profit.

I think they should produce it, something in the range of 300K - 400K or somehitng like that, it doesn't neceserally have to be faster than the competition of that price range, but it could be a uber luxury sports car, a completely different market than Lamborghini. I'm sure they would make profit out of it.
Also a Bugatti sedan doesn't seem like a bad idea, give Maybach and Rolls some competition.

I doubt they will make a Baby Veryon.. (IMO it would just be too damn ugly!) Not to mention the obvious competitor the new car will be head to head with (Lamborghini).
I still think the "Über Sedan" would be a much better business decision for Bugatti. They've just paid big bucks for their revival in the market and I don't think they want to do anything that would jepordize Bugatti's name.

Yes, they donīt want to prove anything with the new one, they just want to start to make profit, which they canīt with the Veyron.
Bugatti have reastablised itself wih the Veryon and I doubt the VW would want to turn away from all the publicity they have made with it. I hope they do make one but don't just making it a Gallardo clone.
