Very poor gearbox, but lots of space inside. I wish it was even smaller, which I know could be done. There's just so much headroom, and room behind the seats.

With a 1 liter engine giving it more torque, it would be quite nice, the Brabus version is "cool" because it tries so hard to be just that ;)

Practical for parking, cheap to repair if it has scratches and stuff, doesn't eat too much gas... Probably a big girly for some :lol:

I could see this work in cities like Tokyo or something, or NY. But here in the Netherlands 90% of all Smarts are used as advertorial cars --> Uncool.

the car in general is cool, the unique look and the idea is great, but the fact that the car is too expensive for what you get makes it uncool!

The Smart ForTwo is also used for advertorial purposes down here in Sydney. Red Bull is a large user. You get to drive these things for free, I think, but I'm not entirely sure.

But I really don't think this is all that cool. A couple of years back, a cop drove by in marked Smart ForTwo, and us high school kids just laughed as he tried to manfully rev the car up and accelerate from the lights like Fernando Alonso (failing).

Well, in Madrid many people have a smart, in fact i have two friends who have one just for going to city!!! ive drive it andis very well equilibrated, obviously you cant try hard sideways ... but is little car with enought power and equilibrium and youll always find a parking space for it!!! Ill vote cool, but... the real cool smart is the roadster with his little turbo, ive drive it also, and its awesome te sensation, everything seems faster LOL !!!

You can look at it from an other point of view.... Just for fun, it is a mid-engined rear wheel drive dwo seater and it is also turbocharged with a semi-automatic gearbox :P :P I 've driven it lots of times and it feels ok, the gearbox is indeed awful and it is dangerous past 120km/h but as a small city car i think it is kind of cool :D :D

Cool car. Very bold design and idea. The car is very practical and I wouldn't be embarrased to be seen in one( unlike a Nissan Micra...)
I disagree about the Brabus version though...this is a city car and it should not be fast. I would never drive a Brabus one on a track, I am afraid it's going to roll over...:)
