Hi guys,

I recently got a Canon S2 IS as a gift, great camera BTW, but the clumsy me also managed to put couple of fingerprints on the lens. After doing some googling on lens cleaning, I'm not so sure what would be the best method.

I used the eye glasses cleaning cloth for my old camera but I don't want to risk scratching the lens on the new one. Help!

Wish the S2 has a built in lens cover like my old Canon :|

You can get one of the microfiber cloths in a kit along with a lens blower (looks like a rubber light bulb) and lens cleaning solution. Should be more than adequate for your problem

Yep, microfiber cloth is the way to go. Try to avoid using lens cleaning solution, only use it when the dirty stuff is really tough.

Id assume the eyeglass cloth is microfiber and would work just fine.

Lenspen works great.

Lenspen works great.
I actually bought one yesterday, will experiment on other cameras and see how well it works ;)

Nice job, it works get with my glass. Id recommend a rocket blower too. You blow all the dust and particles away so they dont scratch. They a few brushes and then clean away with lenspens. Leaves the glass spotless.
