it isn't faster than a M3, I read from a magazine.. but they achieved a very good weight distribution :D even with a V8 in the front

i just read about it in autoweek, and they said they really liked. there were a few problems but they would get fixed if it ever went into production. would you rather take that or a turboed is300?

the is300 has a option of a 5speed manual in canada.
the RS200 has a 6speed manual.

That would be pretty cool if it came into production. How much power does that V8 have? I dont like the color scheme though. Red/Black doesnt do it for me.

I think it's going to crush the M3. The colour is really nice, just authentic Lexus I say.

I figure the IS430 would have the same 4.3lit V8 from the LS, GS and SC, so that would mean that the car would have 300hp respectively. When youre comparing this to the M3 however, the M3 is the standard bearer that all other cars in its category aspire to be. The IS430 (in my opinion) cant even touch the M3 in terms of power, desirability and prestige. However, since its a Lexus, it should be a solid car.

no super, but definitely tweaked.

and if that curb weight is correct, the weight added by the v8 isnt too significant!

the enigne is just tweaked with intake exhaust etc etc. no forced induction. there was a special on it here in the states. its also uses a supra 6spd gearbox. the coolest part about it tho that i thought was that after all the mods were done it only weighed 10 lbs more than stock and had double the HP!! :mrgreen:

i dont think Lexus will make this and even if they did, the European counterparts are leaps ahead. Even the CTS-V would give it a run for its money.

it barely does sub 5-seconds to sixty, but, that wa sthe car the Rod Millen made. As of yet, Toyota/Lexus has no plans to put the car into production.
