I know i know i was driving in a tractor but this was no ordinary tractor

Its a BMW 535d, with a chip, chipped from 280hp to 340hp. Last week they had a drag race and it pwned an impreza STI (2006 model) which maybe ill get a ride in it. I hope.

This pics are made by my friend

The car really flys but it had "only" 17" rims, and the dude didnt know the road, so he said that we will went with 19" rims to try corners :D

And the BMW X5 chiped from 218hp to 280hp :P, my pic

The 535d really flys and its sound pretty good for a diesel, the X5 is a relaxed cruser but still you can get to speed 200kph easy.

Both two cars are chiped by www.chiptuning.si

The question is how far can they push this way of tuning?

So respect to the disels 8)

I have only driven the standrad 272bhp 535d but that pulled pretty well. Very comfortable also.

This pulls fantastic, and we made a vid 0-100kph , with 4 of us inside the car, i will post it here as soon as i get it. :P

shame about the "tiny" wheels, i see it has the M-package :)

evo once did a test with a 535d chipped by DSM (british tuner) to roughly the same hp, but they said they could easily get alot more out of it, but that would compromise the ultimate reliability a bit...

I'm sure that 535d is a blast to drive with all that extra torque and power! Nice pics..

That STI must of been a bit humbled after gettin whooped by a 4 door diesel ;)

Yes, lol

Here is the video of a drag bettwen impreza and the this 535d chiped.

And its all M, just the rims werent put on that day.

You could chip it more than the 340hp but it would not be good for the engine, so we can say that 340hp is optimal for the engine.

how bad will it hurt the fuel economy??

If you chip it over the optimal horspower?

If you chip it on the optimal they say that the increas is no mor than 5%.

Must be exciting, but sorry, a fast diesel is always a diesel :bad:

Insane:

What about fuel consumption?

Normally, mantaining the same driving style like before tuning, will reduce fuel consumption for about 0,5 l. Because of higher torque and slightly increased turbo pressure the engine will run better in lower rpm where fuel consumption is the lowest. After tuning it is possible to drive one gear higher than before.
During sports driving, the fuel consumption will, naturally, increase a little.
Judging by feedback from our customers, we can easily claim that despite a bit more dynamic driving the average fuel consumption will stay the same.

Yes the steptronic and it can hold 700nm of torque, which the 535d is chiped to. ( 340hp and 700nm).

Btw i didnt saw a e60 535d or a 545 with a manual, i think they dont come with one.
