My first video made today, a nice impression of the car and some 2nd gear drifts and a rolling burnout. My favo parking wasn't empty so we couldn't get powerslide circles on camera, maybe next weekend.

Yesterday i did a 0 - 270km/u (rev limiter in 5th gear) but it was to dark for the camera, will do that again on a sundaymorning or so.

Dude! That id really cool! It must have benn one hell of a day! But as I see it is not your first! ;)

Great job and keep the posts coming!!!

oh yeah...the car!! man...godlike

btw can you give some info about the specs!?
Is it the no-speed-limiter-3.0-litre-295-hp version that I think it is?

It is a standard 295bhp 3.0 GT but equiped with standard computer right now, rev limit is at about 7400rpm. Later this year after the driftdays i'm going to swap the computer for the H&H Motorsport version i got. Rev limiter is at 7900rpm then, topspeed is 290km/u then, but don't let the engine run too long in the red light district :)

^^
now that you don't hear every day! I mean come on, swapping the computer to a Motorsport version how cool is that! :>

Keep that engine running and yes don't hold that 7900rpm for too long ;)

Would be great if it had the 6 speed gearbox the 3.2 comes with, also for the fuel comsumption.

Nice car mate, What size tyres are on the rear? 235/40/17?

Nice car mate, What size tyres are on the rear? 235/40/17?

Thanks.

It used (new) to have 235/40/17 front and rear but the previous owner made a setup of 215/45/17 in front and 235/40/17 rear for his speed stability.

The car had a bit of a problem with understeer until you push it to oversteer, i want to get back to 225/45/17 front and 235/40/17 rear, so only the front tires have to be switched after the 5mm they have got left.

Drifting on dry surface only with the driver in the car, no passenger, an E36 is not that good on dry, problems with the rear suspension but it's more fun dan a wet drift if you ask me.

I chose the 3.0 GT because it's special. More reliable than the 3.2 engine and the GT has got other cam so it revs like

Here's a list of changes between the standard 3.0 and the GT version:

-A retuned version of the S50 B30 powerplant with 264-degree cams, a BMW Motorsport dual-pickup oil pan, duocentric oil pumps and upgraded VANOS software producing 295 hp at 7,000 rpm and 238 lb/ft of torque at 3,900 rpm
-Shorter 3.23:1 final drive
-Stiffer springs and shocks
-M strut tower brace
-British Racing Green (312) paintwork
-Adjustable front and rear GT spoilers
-Clear front turn signal lenses
-Aluminum doors
-"BMW Motorsport International" emblems on exterior door mouldings and interior sill plates
-Forged M Double Spoke alloy wheels (7.5x17-in. front, 8.5x17-in. rear)
-Mexico Green Nappa leather upholstery with Anthracite Amaretta bolsters
-Three-spoke steering wheel with airbag
-Carbon fiber dashboard and center console trim

How many have been produced?

A total of 350 examples were produced in left-hand drive form from February thru June of 1995 (in addition to six pre-production vehicles produced in December of 1994). 50 right-hand drive were build.

At the end of this year i hope to respray a bit of the car, give it a new windscreen and then go for some professional shots on a nice location (woods or lake).

The car's value is about 15.000 euro and because it is a limited edition i hope to get at least 12.000 after driving it for a year.
