there was a guy on Mill Ave in Tempe, AZ that did these. he had a huge one on sale for $150. About an hour later we went back and it was gone. It looks like he takes magazine paper and lets it randomly rip off the colors from either the painting or the mag. paper.

If you try this, wear a respirator like he is. Those fumes can suck.

Pretty much regular airbrush techniques using cans of Krylon ;)

i have somethin just like this hanging on my wall!!
it was on a trip when a guy there was painting and selling these things to the tourists i bough one although the making process is the more impressive aspect the painting itself is cool but, well let me put it this way - i wouldn't have bought it if i didn't see how it was made
now i feel alittle bit like i was ripped off

yeah i tired messing around with it and you need a lot of colors the paint just doesn't mix/blend that well.

It costs about 50 zloty here in Poland which is ~20 USD. It seems quite a lot for something that takes just a few minutes work but it's damn impressive.
