We gotta love him, haven't we?

vowed to keep his patio heater lit 24 hours a day, just to annoy Greenpeace.

Extreme, but then the Green's could teach us a few things about extremities and exaggeration :fist:

of course, but some of the environmental arguements against cars are very poor.

Clarkson wrote another article about this - i'll see if i can find it.

I can totally understand his frustration and the reason he says most of the things he does :)

Some of the comments at the end of that article are hilarious!!!

Jezza said recently "I care more about the colour of my cars gear knob than I do about CO2 emissions!" or something like that, I think he's got a great sense of humour for the most part.

Tha's true, in it, he said that cars are quite far down the list of contributors, there was some comparison which was good.

pfff fuck the greens.. fucking idiots.. the pertol engine will die becouse of idiots like them (even if fuelcells is nice overall..) when there are waay worse things that "kill our planet".. patronizes asswholes.. i'm all for some recycling.. etc.. but some of the shit is waaay out of line with those assholes.. living in stupid houses, taking 3 mins baths.. buying fruits and just dumping them in the cart with no bags.. idiots..
like JC said.. "..wear you potato shoes.." but leave us alone! go find something better to do with your sorry ass life..

I think i read it in the rag that is the Sun

He mentioned that China was currently experienceing almost exponential industrial growth, and that their CO2 emissions were growing at a much more rapid/uncontrolable rate than the contributions made by a 4x4 (with that ridiculous £50 4x4 tax)

Cheap flights, however, deserve to be hit by a Carbon Neutral charge - it makes sense that way. :bah:

Why does he have to express opinions publicly, if he feels that way about the enviroment then that's fine, but he shouldn't be so eager to piss off the green party. Don't get me wrong, I hate the idiots, but it's better to ignore them than start a battle on such a scale, he won't achieve absolutelly anything.

clarkson's anti environment comments have always pissed me off. this is exactly the kind of shit that pits car enthusiasts againsts environmentalists which doesnt have to be the case IMO.

This is the only reason I tolerate him ;)

I love it when he goes after the greens.. my favourite driving time these days is to be alongside a Prius in traffic.

A couple of times I have motioned them to wind their windows down and I ask - "Does it get good gas mileage then?" -- they all answer "yes, blah blah mpg blah blah blah mpg" - to which I reply something like "But did they have to make it so slow - and ugly?." ;)

I guess they just don't want to make a false impression that it is a fast / luxury car. LOL

I really don't think Jeremy Clarkson single-handedly makes people think that global warming is rubbish. I mean, they call it "climate change" now, because they've realised that meteorological trends are cyclical.

yeah goodduck .. your right.. the petrol engine is the real world killer.. i'm an idiot.. :fist:
sports cars and supercars CAN exist without regular "fuel" effecient cars... for all i care the whole world can drive they're hybride or so called "fuel effecient" (a diesel is better if know anything..) or even electric cars.. that shouldn't have anything to do with me driving my 7.3 zonda in any freaking way..
..i flush the toilet even for "just" pee.. you can wait in your own home till some #2 will add that.. just keep your BS away from my life, my ways, and my lifesyle, you do your thing, i'll do mine..
99.9% of all the green action (buses, trains and anything that has anything to do with that..) is not only not environmentally friendly, but evem worse then what it comes to fix.. and its a huuuge waste of our taxes.. next time your in a traffic jam (if your driving a car that is..) look at the bus lane.. and how empty it is.. and when the occasional bus pass there, look at the 2-3 people who ride it.. (which is only cause they have to is my guess..)
anyways keep you opinions to yourself, and dont call people who dont like you and your opionons ignorant.. go find some green cars enthusiasts site.. idiot..

I've personally read a lot on both sides of the argument. More on the greenies' side, because they get more publicity. However, history shows that weather patterns do come in cycles, and I'm not convinced that this current climate change is anything but part of the cycle.

1- fuck you!
2- people here use the bus. a lot. but like i said cause they have to, no other reason..
3- i dont care.. science course you took in High school.. the goddamn electric power plant that you all use, and a dozen other things causes way more pollution then cars..
and to say the cars are the reason for global warming is PURE 210% ignorance, the only reason for global warming is the earth magnetic fields, and if you dont know what i'm talking about, you better take you head out of the sand, and start thinking for yourself..
saying its the cars fault its just the easy thing to say, people love an easy target.. someone or something to blame for all their problems..
and again, fuck you maybe people dont ride the bus in your country because theyre afraid of being bombed ... i would love to see your country deals with what we are dealing with for 50 years now..
what you just said is like me going i'm scared go into sky scrapers in the US, with all the planes crashing into them.. then again, i guess i'm not that stupid.. you better smart up real quick.. otherwise you'll just be another sheep in the herd..
