That looks like its the concept car, and its not a v8 its a w16

Yeah, exactly. That means that the W16 engine consists of 2 VW V8 engines put together. We'll see how reliable that one will be.

In the German "Motorvision" TV show they said that the Veyron will maybe never be finished because they can´t find a suitable gearbox that can take the impressive power of the 1001hp. This would be too bad :cry:

LOL between gearboxes and tires problems there will always be something new...

I wonder why they can't admit this is a complete disaster and try to forget about this car...

Wrong! Engine is a quad turbo W16. W16 from two V8s welded together at (I think) 90 degrees.

Similar to W12, W16 is made by mating two VR8s together, although at the moment Volkswagen group has not shown any VR8. The VR8 consists of 2 banks of 4-cylinder, mated at 15° just like VR6. The two VR8s then join together at 72°. In other words, W16 is just a W12 with one more cylinder added to each bank.

i thought that was their main goal...remember that 1001 hp(euro) is something like 980hp(SAE)
